I am not an American. Given the state your country is in, I am grateful I am not.

Not a Yank, but commenting on someone's use the the US tax code available to every citizen, and quite ignorantly, I might add.

So I'm just going to assume you read MSM headlines and haven't a clue what you are talking about, like most non US citizens commenting about the USA.

He has 34 fraud convictions an had his charity shut down for fraud. Trump is a career criminal.

Whoa, that came out of left field.   What does that have to do with my reply to ... that person?

You claimed you are subservient to no-one.

How does that work when you are at Immigration?

I never claimed intimate knowledge of the US tax codes. I do know your IRS is the most feared tax agency on the planet.

It's a common put-down by Americans to say non-Americans don't know anything about the USA. About as true as Trump's claim Haitians were eating pets in Springfield..

You would prefer I read Breitbart and Truth Social? Pass.

If the USA is so great, why are you living here?

Subservient, and simply following the rules I agreed to as a guest is 2 different things.

I think 45 yrs, 25 as an adult in the USA is more than enough, especially if you were fortunate enough to travelled around and saw most things you wanted to.  Except then Nat Parks, which at the time, really didn't interest me.   Still ifffy about it, and not sure if worth the hassle or expense.  Pretty much same feeling as in the past.

It was always, park, or to islands and scuba dive.  Always chose the latter.  Lived near the Appellations, and the Rockies are simply higher, and a dead zone after so high.  Seen most everything, except Alaska.

USA, a little too PC for me, and consider, that was 25 yrs ago.  They've gone a bit nutty since, though coming back to reality.   Hollywood is a bit slow to catch up, and still pushing the fantasy family as everyone is supposed to be gay or interracial, and of course, all white men are evil.   Too funny.

And yes, if not a Yank, and never lived there long term, most people haven't a clue.   The left & MSM, paint a picture so off, it's laughable.  And people believe it.  You'd think it's on the brink of collapse & civil war.  Too funny also.

I can still remember getting my shoes shined in Chicago.

I was chatting to the black guy on my shoes, ex-boxer. My accent probably gave me away as not being from around there.

A white guy sat down a couple of chairs away. He had work boots which were badly scuffed, saying to the attendant "Put a good shine on those boots, boy".

My guy saw the look of disbelief on my face, and quietly said " This is what we put up with all our lives".

Racial hatred is alive and well in America.

FYI, the correct spelling of the mountain range is the Appalachians. Which tends to prove a non-American can know more about your country than you do.

Define what, trickle down economics? An economic lie developed for Reagan to defraud American voters.

The idea is that if you give free money to rich people, they will hire poor people, because rich people create jobs. The problem is that demand creates jobs. Rich people do not hire anyone unless they have to.

Yes, still racism in USA, and every where in the world.  I've experienced it, and seen it first hand.  Told before, but 1974/5, in bumbF Texas, some one intersection town, local diner, and black dude mopping the floor.  "Hey, what's up, how you doing?"

.... "Y'all ain't from arund here"

"How can you tell"

... "y'all talking to me" .... WTF :w00t:

Actually, I wouldn't be in TH if not for daughter.  After the very quick divorce, had no reason to stay in TH, and actually, after a quick once around the country, wasn't very impressed.   Along with, no legal way to stay in TH, without my little village orphan.  As a few years away from 50.

Maybe Czech Rep. or back to Americas, but not to live in USA.

Thanks, but I know how it's spelled also, and occasionally spell it correctly.  Sometimes fingers & brain aren't in sync.

Correct me if I am wrong, are not those donations tax deductible?

Tax deductions are irrelevant at this level.  These "donors" are paying for access.

Who wouldn't put up $250K to get a Monday afternoon tee time with Trump, plenty of time to get your orders placed before TACO Tuesday and make an easy $million.

It's an investment.  Same as paying Hunter Biden a "salary" to be on the board of your energy company.

1) Define the rich

2) How is it free money?

3) Everyone recycled a tax cut, and the GDP growth increased.

During the Reagan administration, real GDP growth averaged 3.5%, compared to 2.9% during the preceding eight years. The annual average unemployment rate declined by 1.7 percentage points, from 7.2% in 1980 to 5.5% in 1988, after it had increased by 1.6 percentage points over the preceding eight years.

If we live long enough we just might learn what it was that GHW Bush did that kept him awake at night.  It happened some time between 1974 and 1981 -- don't know what exactly it was (probably more than one thing) but he sure as hell behaved like he was guilty.  IMO it was something during the Carter admin where the party of "we don't negotiate with terrorists" tough guys clandestinely negotiated the deal to get the Iran hostages released on Ronny's inauguration day.   IMO Bush wanted to be president so he could destroy evidentiary records.  Notice his lack of enthusiasm during the 1992 attempt at re-election compared to his "blood in the water" 1988 campaign.  The deed was done, he could go on his way, "computer chips or potato chips, what do I care?"

DISCLAIMER:  this post makes no insinuations regarding the assassination attempt on Ronny.

But not too much self respect to lie.

I was at a National park today. It was open, well attended, clean, in good repair and well staffed.
