47's weaponization of the DOJ shows the US is now a dictatorship

The attempted assassination attempts on him did not incur the traditional blood thirsty revenge of a dictator either.    He's certainly no dictator but what other word would you expect them to use, after all the rest of the population  are all fascists  or nazis simply for not hating him . They are all just the standard insults of those  simple people

Of course Trump is not a dictator. The OP is making a rather amateurish atempt at agitation. If he had been familiar with Carl Schmitt's definition of "dicatorship" he would know that as regards a sovereign dictatorship it would involve  the dictator not being bound by the existing constitution at all and seeking to overthrow it and establish a new one. The sovereign dictator would then be seen as the embodiment of the constituent power, capable of creating a new legal order from scratch.

This is so far removed from the actual situation in the US with Trump that it's not even worth entertaining this notion seriously.

Correct. It will take many years for his supporters to truly understand the extent to which Trump has degraded the safeguards that were built into the system for a multiplicity of reasons.

He's not only eroding the justice system he's eroding American influence around the world at the same time. While showcasing American might can be effective, Trump is also alienating allies who were force multipliers of US global power. What happens the next time America wants help from its friends — for instance after a 9/11-style attack? Will disaffected populations allow leaders he bullied to rush to America’s defense? Trump meanwhile may also be pushing angry allies into the arms of a new superpower — China. And his failure so far to wring trade concessions out of a Beijing that keeps dealing its rare-earth metals trump card may render his broader trade agenda hollow.

A perilous national moment could arrive if public opinion turns sharply against Trump and Republicans seem about to pay the price in next year’s midterm elections. This, after all, is a president who believes he has almost unlimited power and tried to steal an election he lost in 2020.

Trump’s growing authoritarian streak shines through his unlocking of vast executive powers through dubious national emergencies. His assaults on the judiciary, the media, universities and officials in previous administrations already threaten the principles of republican government. This comes a year before he presides over the 250th anniversary of the American revolution, which shook off the unaccountable whims of kings — whom Trump increasingly resembles.

But unless Trump shattered political logic while he was breaking the mold of the presidency, a reckoning could be looming. What happens next will define how history remembers his second term.

A basic primer or the use of Marxist doctrine.

The most reactionary and far-right sectors of the capitalist class have teamed up to back a wannabe dictator who’s managed to assemble a mass movement of contradictory forces behind him — outright racists and misogynists along with millions of disaffected and confused members of the working class. It’s the classic formula for fascism.

But beyond the race hatred, the anti-immigrant hostility, the misogyny, and the homophobic/transphobic attacks, what else motivates significant blocs of voters to go over to the fascist side?

Georgi Dimitrov, one of the famed anti-fascist leaders of the 1930s, provided the beginnings of an answer:

“What is the source of the influence of fascism over the masses? Fascism is able to attract the masses because it demagogically appeals to their most urgent needs and demands. Fascism not only inflames prejudices that are deeply ingrained in the masses, but also plays upon the better sentiments of the masses, on their sense of justice and sometimes even on their revolutionary traditions. Fascism aims at the most unbridled exploitation of the masses but it approaches them with the most artful anti-capitalist demagogy, taking advantage of the deep hatred of the working people against the plundering bourgeoisie, the banks, the trusts, and financial magnates.”

Add to that the deep resentment that Trump supporters had toward law enforcement and the justice system, for going after their felonious master with such unbridled passion.

The REAL problem with ALL of this - 47 isn't coming up with all these plans on his own. He doesn't have the mental capacity or imagination to come up with this. He's too involved in cheating at golf.

47 is a front man, a shill, for truly evil people who want control of the most powerful military on the planet so they can spread their White Christian Nationalist agenda. They have spent decades militarizing local police, now they're throwing tons of money at ICE, and activating the National Guard with marching orders of being "allowed to do whatever the hell they want" in places where they aren't needed. This is practice for 2028. They will fabricate a reason to shut down elections until further notice and the US will finally be a bona fide dictatorship.

I sincerely hope I am wrong.

You are.

The basic primer on socialism/marxism, which you so gleefully quote and promote, is to line people up and shoot them in the back of the head or starve and work them to death.  That's what you anti-trumper and anti-americans want. And that's not what you're going to get.

The left wing whiners get funnier every day. Pure entertainment!

oh, sorry about that. I will correct that incorrect fat fingered attribution.

Perhaps worth it to peruse this website that debunks (mostly) Trump hoaxes.

May I suggest starting with "The fine people hoax", called a "tent pole hoax" by a very smart man (Scott Adams).

Browse through and pick a few favourites, but be warned, you may find some disturbing truths!

More importantly.  Let's see if he manages to **** up the 2026 World Cup. 😀

The DOJ of course is just one part, but a massively important part, of the emerging Trump dictatorship.

But it is very illustrative of what his regime is doing across every aspect of American life.

Trump contorting justice department into his ‘personal weapon’, experts warn | Trump administration | The Guardian

As Donald Trump’s Department of Justice expands investigations of his foes and ousts dozens of lawyers and staff who worked on cases targeting himself and his allies, scholars and ex-prosecutors say the rule of law is under siege in the US as the department morphs into Trump’s “personal weapon”.

The justice department’s politicization to please Trump was underscored by an announcement on 23 July of a new “ strike force” to investigate unsubstantiated charges that ex-president Barack Obama and top officials conspired to hurt Trump’s 2016 campaign and his presidency with inquiries into Russian influence operations to help Trump win, say critics.

The announcement came the day after Trump dodged queries from reporters about the justice department’s failure to produce long-promised files about the notorious sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, and pivoted to blast Obama without evidence for “treason”. Trump’s conspiratorial charge echoed dubious claims by his national intelligence director, Tulsi Gabbard, who days before called for a justice department inquiry into a purported “treasonous conspiracy”.

LOL....People like you do not know history.   You live in the world of history now.

Weaponization of the DOJ is not new—it has been a recurring accusation for over two centuries. The intensity usually spikes in times of war, national crisis, or close partisan divides, when the temptation to use legal power for political ends is strongest.

Why are trump haters so stupid!

No evidence shows the U.S. lacks democratic processes, and supports claims of being a dictatorship. if it does, what is the evidence in support of this? It's all hyperbole from the fraudsters here stealing CNN quotes while making ludicrous claims about nothing simply because they are envious of President Trumps spectacular achievements to date. Bunch of liberal haters with nothing but lies and hate based attacks against Trump who could very well be the greatest POTUS in a lifetime! Compared to Biden, its any easy bet, but prove me wrong.

People go on TV every day and attack Trump.

People post and repost  vulgar memes of Trump countless times a day.

Judges take phony actions against Trump that are reversed almost daily.

And no one goes to jail for it, or is even stopped from doing it.

The brighter leftists that make these false claims are liars. The leftists that aren’t lying, are just stupid, though like all leftists, they fancy themselves bright.
