You might be right, but almost everyone I meet here is Chinese. I guess that’s just how it is in Chiang Mai. Have you ever come across someone with zero Chinese DNA? I haven’t in 15 years.

I don't know, I haven't dna tested anyone, but I'd imagine quite a few down south have zero.

You should, if you suspect someone of being at least 90% Thai. Even down south, the darker-skinned people—despite how they look—are often Chinese. For example, we have a contractor in Chiang Mai who looks like a dark-skinned Indian, but he’s actually Chinese.

 

Almost as pretty as the Miss Tiffany Universe winner.

Yeah, The plantation owner families. At some point a Chinese guy would have married a dark skinned southern Thai. Their kids would naturally assume the darker gene.

I completely agree, you can take a lot of decent looking women put the right amount of makeup on in a very professional manner, and they look quite beautiful. Without makeup would be the true test.
