My lawyer has royally stuffed up my visa renewal so I have to go out of the country and get a new non immigrant B visa. I am on a work permit. Which is the best Thai Embassy to do this

Thanks

Many options for eVisa.

Some will suggest PP.

For myself it would be Saigon.

Especially if your pp is visa exempt for Vietnam.

Payment for eVisa in Saigon is online.

In Laos you attend consulate for payment in person after making application

That's great info Jack. I am visa exempt for Vietnam and I've never been to Saigon before so a bonus. So I would have to fly to Saigon and submit an e-visa application in Saigon and pay for it online in Saigon.

You can prepare application and submit soon after arrival.

Thinking part of application is copy entry stamp.

This shows you are in Vietnam for application.

Off topic, however regards Saigon.. Google "Bui Vien street Google Maps" and opt for accommodation in that area.

Convenient bus runs airport to that location less than 1usd.

Thanks for the information. Really helpful. I have a week to get myself sorted out and perhaps a few days in Saigon would do me good

Saigon is easy and nice place for sightseeing.

My lawyer is telling me that I can get a re-entry permit on a single entry non B visa. I am not sure if that is true. Can anyone shed any light on this? I am having difficulty believing anything she says right now

Yes you can get a re-entry permit but why?

re-entry permit only gives you same date to stay as you latest entry stamp.

If you going for a new non-B you do not want a re-entry permit

Is your lawyer claiming to be an ‘Immigration Lawyer”?  If so, maybe a change of lawyers is in order.

On entry a Non B would grant a stay of 90 days.
Unless you intend to leave and return again within that 90 days, you don't need a re-entry permit.

If you want a professional, service oriented experience, I strongly suggest Singapore.

They run that operation like a business. I was very impressed by the efficiency.

Several agents have told me no other embassy compares.
