New Jersey. My parents were from Brooklyn, which has a slightly different accent they both lost. 4 of my children were born in Texas, but all sound like me besides the ya'll they use. I have never be told I have an accent, although I do sound like others from New Jersey, which does sound  different than others from the US, meaning the obvious Boston and Midwestern .Edit: I guess it could be considered an accent to others, as this link shows, the Northern type..........https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Jersey_English

Ahhh... from Noo Joizy eh? Then Teks's.

I can tell from your typing that your accent(s) is a barely discernible Midwest.

  • Take him out. Nobody needs to learn American language. It's a disgrace.

"I helped there because I'm a native English speaker and he wanted the students to hear someone without an accent, as many of his teachers are from the UK or Cameroon, who were taught by UK teachers and also have an accent. "

May I ask where you're from claiming you have no accent?

Probably went to Eton or Arrow.

That shows your level of comprehension, as I sound nothing like a Midwestern talker, although i can fully understand them, being around many. Joizy is how some of those from New York City area sound. Tell by my typing?  That makes no sense whatsoever. And people don't change their way of speaking when they move to another state.

No, my teacher English school owner friend here, who was trained in the states, and visited there many times, hires many teachers from the UK and Cameroon, and knows I speak a more easily understood English, as the other American teachers he hired also do.

With that response to my obvious tongue-in-cheek post, I can definitely tell that you are an American with that uniquely 'different' sense of humour (including spelling it).

Or maybe it's because it's Sunday.

Send the bast**d back to where he comes from after a few years in a Thai prison, if he survives.

It is. Raining all the time. My apologies for hijacking this thread but I was curious how Fred defined no accent.

Not a problem, but I see so many assumptions here It's hard to tell what is genuine humor and what's just trolling and sarcasm, besides that coming from the usual suspects. Now back to the original OP and his comments on this teacher weirdo.

My mother's family is from Ireland, and she learned English in Brooklyn schools and from her parents, and she sounded like everyone else from her area, like my dad, brother and I, although I was born in New Jersey. Authentic English, genuine, is English spoken by native English speakers, accents aside, some of which aren't easy for some to understand, as I noted in that link.

Authentic? Genuine?

Only by Starmer, or Cameron, Thatcher.....🤗

Perhaps some of you on this forum may know about this. I read several years ago that Thailand has an agreement with several countires that if an alleged sex offender is tried and then convicted for crimes against a minor in the Thai courts, the perpetrator will be deported to his or her own country to serve their incarceration time.

Is this true? When I read about this I recall one of the countries was Australia, but I am not sure about the US or UK.

The U.S. does indeed have a treaty which allows for the repatriation of U.S. citizens  convicted of crimes in Thailand to serve the remainder of their sentences in the U.S.  However, it usually isn't applied until the convict has served seven years in a Thai prison and is virtually  never used in cases involving sexual abuse of a child.  That's because once the sex offender is deported from Thailand, he faces additional charges in the U.S. for the same crime. The convict has to request repatriation and the governments of both countries have to agree to it.

That's a different situation from extradition of fugitives.  If a U.S. citizen living in Thailand is wanted on a U.S. fugitive warrant for a crime committed outside Thailand, the Thai police can arrest him and turn him over to the U.S. for prosecution in the U.S.

regardless of sentence in Thailand, when he returns to the US he will face the same charges and do 20-30 years - in the case of sex offenses in other countries, there is no double indemnity law.   He is toast.

Glad to hear that!

Really a disgusting  sick bastar*.

Deserves years of  life in max security stockade and plenty of beating by other inmates and wardens.

Drop dead and rot behind bars.

Amazing some of the viewers of this topic look sympathetic(5 thumbs down) with that predator who violated a child in his class.

You obviously don't have the beginnings of an idea of the qualifications which a Native English Speaking Teacher needs to prove to 1) be employed by a school, 2) get a visa, 2) get a work permit.

I new a few, one was a mason. Didn't knew anything about gramma. During lunch time blowing with young girls on main street. You are talking about admin requirements

evidence or lack of will determine guilt or innocence….this story should never have gotten published as it seems totally incomplete investigation by the police

What are you on about, read the OP:

"However, in this case, police have crucial evidence, including CCTV footage from inside the classroom."

Sure can't. Be for their pay. That should be red flags right away why somebody would want to be on 20,000 a month at 59 years old

These kind of predators are very welcome in Bangkok Hilton’s showers. 🥰

Enjoy your fanciful urban myth imaginations, the "Hilton's" shower facilities are rigourously monitored by guards to the extent that underwear has to be worn and, as a result, assaults (of any kind) rarely occur.

Your former colleague had a similar heavily pixelated face 15 years ago?

The second picture of him is not pixelated at all, just slightly blurred leaving him identifiable, particularly to someone who knows him.

What makes you say that for a comparable offence...anything rational?

He looks a lot like one of my former colleagues from about 15 years ago. If that's him, I'd be surprised he did that because he avoided advances from his M. 4, 5 and 6 students.

🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨 What kind of reply is that, your school had students in all grade level openly trying to get with teachers?

Yeah, we do have a lot of sick farts here. I guess they they sold it all, came to Thailand, couldn´t hack it, complain over everything and only see wrong with Thai people. Now it´s come to a limit and level, that makes them can see no wrong with foreigners in Thailand disregarding what they do. It´s called brain damage, and the time to see a doctor, but they just take a beer more and say they are living the dream. 😂

If you were not a bigot seeking to inject your own personal hatred you would not make such a stupid comment.

There are consequences in all western nations. The accused's name is Majit which is an arabic name. Would you be  so full of zeal if he was an Israeli Arab, rather than an Arab American?
