Yes they should from home countries.  The UK wants a police check from every country you have stayed in for 6 months  or more.

Gawd...I knew that you had nothing...always best to read your own links before presenting them as evidence otherwise you just waste your own time.  An Israeli official in the US on different charges is not comparable to the arrest of the teacher in Thailand.  Two different countries, two different justice systems.

They do. One of the requirements to be employed as a foreign teacher in a school in Thailand is furnishing a Police record check from your home country. 

 

No Police record check, no teaching licence (or waiver), no job, no visa.
