Oh don't be judgemental

But I agree , I'm in Pattaya now and it's the last time !

This trip I was nearly brutally attacked by a ladyboy

Not judgmental, just my own personal opinion on what I saw.

Wear soft flat shoes so you can easily out run the ladyboys in their high heels. 😄

Unless they take their high heels off then you done for.

Imagine that a male friend of yours suddenly decides he is a woman. Then he starts dressing like a woman and allows others (also perverts) <deleted> for money. The only reasonable explanation is that your friend has gone completely insane. There is no other sane explanation.

About time the cops ripped through Pattaya to 'tackle' this scourge like they have been with drugs. If anything gives this 'family resort' a bad rep, it is not some Chinese tourist acting up on the beach, it is this carry-on with these twisted, gross criminals. Round up all the dirty scoundrels and chuck them in a cell with ole mate Takki Shinegra.

Oh there's no need for Transphobia

Foreigners getting their heads smashed in by locals in Southeast Asia is unique to Thailand. Never happens in Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore....not even in China. It's a uniquely horrific Thai phenomenon. Thailand -land of head bashings!

Many moons ago a gal in Pattaya cautioned me about those quiet alleys leading away from Beach Rd, "they hit you on the head!"  Excellent advice.

Taking an absolute stranger home, with the possibility of sleeping in their presence, well, I've always been uneasy about that, but I have done it.  Two girls can easily be a conspiracy.  Four girls people at a time?  Sounds like a setup for a Benny Hill skit.  The only place where I've done doubles is the termas in Brazil.

There was a skit on US's Daily Show a few months back where a young fellow becomes a good-looking woman (by some sort of silly premise).  Her bros start asking her if, now that he's a woman will she have sex with them?  Her response "Eww, that's gross!"  Then after a pause, she murmurs "maybe . . ."

I've had a lot of contact and association with the gay and lesbian community for decades now, in both New York and Los Angeles, and I have a lot of good friends that are gay and lesbian, that are really wonderful souls.

It's probably the ones that hang about looking to supply sexual services that are of a higher risk!

Although it doesn't say if the knife was from his room or carried in by one of the LBs, but number one rule of bringing anyone back to your room - hide your money and your knives.

As it's low season and customer money is hard to come by they are obviously getting more desperate to be able to pay the rent and buy hormone tablets and make up.

Either girls or LBs you have to be extra vigilant when picking up from the streets or online dating apps.

If you want company of two then take them from a bar, you will have less trouble. Two from the street are already scheming on how to get you even before they get to your room.

Oh it saddens me to think of the opinions of some which realms into transphobia and believe me I was also brutally attacked last Wednesday up near that Supalai Condo where I was forced to defend myself

But that doesn't mean I have become transphobic

All I ask is you show some love and understanding

I respect whatever gender they r.That said its many stories about transgenders.Of course many stories about ladies too but transgender is violent compared to ladies.I have sit in a bar talking with ladyboys that's really nice to talk with. But street ladyboys i never talk to.A transgender who work in a bar is registered by the ID and that's much safer.

Because we are more vulnerable, not being as strong as when we were young.

But why should that stop us having fun..,by the way, when do we become vulnerable elderly people. I'm 71, an ex-karate instructor, and I can tell you, I can still tell out a good walloping.

Don't mess with mentally ill people!

Some actions have inevitable outcomes, he is old enough to have seen that, if not he knows it now.

A British tourist, aged 65, sought some companionship in Pattaya, only to find himself brutally attacked by a gang. The incident occurred after he hired two individuals for company but was confronted by four transgender individuals demanding ฿10,000 each. When he refused, the gang allegedly attacked him with a knife, leaving him with serious head injuries.

Police in Pattaya received an alert about the assault at a condominium early on September 12, 2025. Officers and rescue staff quickly arrived on scene to find the tourist with severe head wounds. After receiving initial first aid, he was rushed to hospital. The assailants had fled before authorities arrived and remain at large.

The injured tourist explained he had requested the services of two individuals but was met by four instead. After rejecting their demands for ฿40,000, an argument ensued, leading to the brutal attack. He managed to escape and reach a security guard, who then called for help while the attackers made their getaway.

Police have launched an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage from the condominium and surrounding areas. Efforts are ongoing to track down the suspects and bring them to justice under Thai law.

Key Takeaways:

  • A 65-year-old British tourist was brutally attacked in Pattaya by a gang demanding money.
  • The victim sustained serious injuries and is recovering in hospital.
  • Police are actively searching for the four suspects responsible for the attack.

The assassination of Charlie Kirk exemplifies this sickness is worldwide!  People may not agree that this is a mental health issue but it needs to stop!

No. I repeat, I do not believe lions should be held in captivity.

Good for you. Aged 84 I'm 13 years ahead of you, and less robust.

As he bleeds...

I have been accosted by ladyboys a few times in my nocturnal wanderings (making my way home from entertainment venues) and in all cases have been abused and harassed for not taking the offer and, one time, attempts made to secure my wallet. Luckily I made reference to the tourist police office around the corner and was left alone, after being flashed the largest todger I've ever seen in my life.

On the other hand I have had a few interesting conversations with them about their journey and upbringing, which I found eye opening.

I feel there is another story here, perhaps a miscommunication in ahem "services" or payment requested or maybe an underlying aggression displayed in the initial attempts to bargain.

Dunno, not good for the poor feller though.

Your comments are full of bias and bull<deleted>. There are many normal, decent ladyboys in Thailand because it's socially acceptable. Many times I pay for something in a store to a nice lady, then I look a bit more carefully and she isn't exactly a lady, this is a totally Thai experience. The details, if she has a dick, what she does outside the working hours, are none of my business.

I find your comment equally interesting.
Define normal. Your definition would be incredible. They are mentally ill. Typically, that would mean that they are not normal. I never said anything about them being indecent. You are insinuating something... from what and why?
Socially acceptable? Again, this would need a definition of "socially acceptable" for me to be able to figure out how on earth you could possibly come to such a conclusion. I would argue that they are absolutely not in that category. They are prejudiced against on a large scale. I have a few ladyboy friends and they'd be happy to inform you how often their life is miserable because society does not accept them, while keeping a pretty transparently veiled veneer of acceptance that is so easily seen through, it's difficult to imagine that anyone would make a statement that you have.
It's not a particularly Thai experience to go through what you explained. I've had that experience commonly in the US and with shorter times in other countries, yet experienced it in them too.
I also never said nor implied anything about it being my or anyone's business what a ladyboy may do or not do outside their working hours.

I detected many red flags from the reply that point straight to narcissism so I will not reply. I never get involved in any discussions with narcissists. Good luck in your disorder.

Oh yes! Oh so many red flags of narcissism! lol That is hilarious. Typical leftist projection. You have a severe lack of ability to recognize facts. That can be a problem when attempting to discuss something....
