I wager you are in the white trash category.

It’s a matter of opinion. Somehow you feel the need to reply 😉

Strange how Thailand can collect so many white trash hating women, and obviously racists, but they found Thailand as a suitable place to relocate.

Is that why you live in Thailand?

You better look it up, many black athletes with medals from Olympic Games and world meets

Have I ever voiced any racist comments against women or men at this forum ?

Several here who do that on daily basis,

Men and women aren't races.

Why do I get a thumbs down for an honest question?

Because it is dumb.

You see "black" people at sports events because they come from countries where the population is black. You do know that much of Africa has dark skinned people don't you? They are on western sports teams too. However, do you see any "black"  people running for India or Japan or China or Egypt (an African nation)?

Asians is also dark skinned?

Have a visit to Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

I love athletics. What you say is true of course. It's not being racist at all.

The sprints and long distance races are mainly dominated by dark skinned athletes. Great to watch. I don't recall many dark skinned pole-vaulters. The Swede is absolutely amazing. Swimming is dominated by fairer-skinned persons.

It's interesting.  👍

Not bashing dark skinned people, just an observation, OK? Watching the world championships in Tokyo, I just wonder why dark skinned people are so good at athletics? Especially running. Most races (men or women ) feature dark skinned people. It doesn't matter what country. Too many countries to name. Why is that? We all know runners from African countries are known for long-distance events, but even short distances, eg 100,200 or any other distances are dominated by dark skin athletes. Why?

Many live in areas of the world which is of higher altitude. This gives them advantage in running

So why are Tibetans not outrunning Kenyans?

In 1960 there was an Ethiopian Olympic marathon runner who won barefoot against the world's best and beat them. He put it down to the fact he had to run 20km every day to get to the city. I would say it wasn't his color but the fact he ran every day.

Let me ask you a question have you ever lived or worked well above sea level? I doubt it but I can tell you from experience when you come to sea level you have so much more energy.

I live in the mountains now, in Chiang Mai. I can tell it has increased my energy level tremendously.

So you have answered your own question. Go to sea level and you will have more power

Even more? Can't wait.

It is obviously not something they go in for.

If you came from Zero I believe you.

However the mountains around Chiangmai are only somehow pleasant within the rain season, the only time without dust and reasonable temps.

I live in CM too, but leave from end of January up to the beginning of June and enjoy our beach house in the South.

I’ve wondered about this too, maybe it’s fast-twitch fibres and other genetic factors. They also train incredibly hard, and in their cultures athletics is strongly encouraged. Some even add extra work after a workout, for example, a long run followed by an intense strength training session.

Despite living in Chiang Mai, I always seem to get the timing wrong. Isn’t January too early to leave Chiang Mai or is the alternative just much better then? I need to plan for next year and make sure I don’t arrive during the smoky season. If I leave around the end of March 2026, I should be able to avoid it.

Mostly low caste South Indians who migrated to those countries; North Indians are lighter in complexion than Europeans, and it’s the same in Pakistan.

Dark skinned people have less good job paying opportunities than lighter skinned people due to discrimination.. As a result they go into athletics for opportunities. Athletics are performance based. Win a race and there is no easy way to be discriminated against. As a result there is a larger talent pool of dark skinned people in athletics. Thus more dark skinned successful athletes. Agree?

I thought you were going to talk about the beauty of dark-skinned women. Many years ago I did briefly consider the idea of opening a bar, but I think the only way a bar is going to work these days is if you have a real hook or a real novelty. We were going to call it the Chocolate Bar and we were going to hire only dark skinned beauties to work there.

Dark skinned beauties from all over the country, exactly the kind that many guys like. When we would start interviewing if light skinned gals would come in no matter how beautiful they were, we would turn them down and tell them that they didn't qualify because their skin was too light.

Wouldn't it be fun to see the look on their faces?

That is also the main reason you will not find many Black people serving as a Navy Seal.

It could be as simple as the way the nose is shaped, some types of noses allow a better oxygen flow.

There are many great non-black athletes. Almost at any sport.

Not so much at swimming though.

Depends on you.

The forecast when the smoke will start is getting vague from year to year. Could start at the end of January, could start in February. Who knows. The smoky season could last long or short. 2 years ago (I think) is was up to end of May hazy.

Therefore I'll enjoy almost 5 months at the beach.
