A 26-year-old Thai woman was found dead inside a hotel room in Phuket on 15 September. The discovery was made by hotel staff who alerted police after locating the body, sparking an immediate investigation into the circumstances of her death. The case has raised concerns as authorities work to determine whether any suspicious activity was involved.

Police from Cherng Talay station, led by Pol Lt Col Kittipong Nupeng, arrived at the scene along with investigators, forensic officers, a pathologist from Vachira Phuket Hospital and Kusoldharm Phuket Foundation rescue workers. The woman, identified as Ms Kanyarat, was found lying naked on her side beneath a television in room 537. Initial medical examination confirmed she had been dead for at least 12 hours, with no visible injuries or signs of assault.

Officers examined the room and discovered wine and glasses on the table, as well as the woman’s shoulder bag, which was collected as evidence. The absence of external injuries has prompted further inquiries to establish whether her death was linked to health issues, intoxication or other causes. Police are reviewing CCTV footage to determine whether anyone else entered the room before the body was found.

The incident has drawn attention due to the location of the death within a well-known hotel and the age of the victim. Forensic experts stress that comprehensive examination will be essential to clarify the cause of death. Police officials confirmed that all findings would be thoroughly cross-checked with autopsy results to prevent premature conclusions.

The woman’s body has been transferred to Vachira Phuket Hospital for a detailed autopsy. Authorities stated that further announcements will be made once laboratory results and forensic tests are completed. Investigators are expected to focus on toxicology reports and CCTV analysis in the coming days to establish a clearer picture of events.
