Featured Replies

...Ms.Beni Rae Harmony, a local ABC20 news reporter, was suspended and then chose to resign after she gave a  tribute to her former mentor, Charlie Kirk, following his assassination. She stood firm in her values, put her faith and love for country over her job at the station. Whats the possibilities of her getting another job ?

The story is based on a NYP report

It appears this is getting proper attention.

Title :ABC news anchor quits, saying she faced retaliation after teary Charlie Kirk tribute: ‘First targeted for honoring him’

“Many in the mainstream media have been fired or punished for mocking his assassination. I believe I am the first to be targeted for honoring him on air,” Harmony wrote Monday on X.

Her role was to present the news, to read the reports and to act in an unbiased manner. What she claims was non partisan was in fact her own personal view. That would be acceptable if she had presented her views in a designated editorial time slot and not offered them as "news" and disregarded the instructions of the news producers. News anchors are not supposed to offer their opinions as news and are not supposed to deviate from the  presentation structure. That is why she was suspended.  Her  response is self serving.

So now, suddenly, they like cancel culture?  I don't hear a peep out of the 'don't tread on me' crowd either.
