Yeah, just looked it up.

Not really sure what's going on.

I wonder if there's a lot of "graft" going on in the cancer research industry.

They sure have collected a lot of research grants and public donations over the past few decades, but have seemingly not made any progress.

This article uses the term "woke studies". I'm not sure what it means exactly. I cannot read the entire article.

But I wonder if Trump is mostly cutting funds that are being misused.

We (collective we) had discussed this ad nauseum when Musk raped the government with a chainsaw.

The concept of going after government waste is universally accepted by everyone. Instead of doing it with an intelligent and humane approach, this administration has gone hunting mosquitoes with a cannon. This will cause severe damage that will take generations to repair.

HAHAHA hasnt stopped them from getting it wrong before has it

Probably big institutions do need a shake up now and then.

Big business do it regularly.

Not sure if the Trump " cut to the bone "  approach is the right one though.?

As a cancer survivor, this hits close to home for me. This is NOT being a good steward of public funds.

Maybe Kennedy believes that cancer does not exist, thus no need for research.

Besides, cancer research is expensive, and Trump et al. wish to improve their wealth while they can, thus cancer research is an easy target.

As an aside, a news item on the ABC (Australia) news last night - Trump's wealth has increase by US$3+ billion since January.
