dont have time for druggies, waste of space !!   as bad as drunk drivers  wast of a life

Love me a roadie on the drive home from work.

You say you do not like druggies and yet you are so butthurt over Thaksin ordering them to be killed (your unsubstantiated claim)......you flip flip like a fish.

Agreed: soon to be followed by a demand to serve his sentence in his own home wearing a device.

Totally deserved. He is not a common criminal. He is the former Prime Minister. Let him live in some kind of comfort. The "crime" does not fit the punishment.

still not very grey hair  despite his advanced years  - one would expect some wisdom to be experienced during this incarceration ...if he doesn't come out in a years time with grey hair...then i suspect someone might be passing unregulated hair products ... BTW grey hair is not grey - it's the absence of color, it's all colors...he might want to reflect on this . But respect for him for finally accepting his punishment. I note that Abhisit did not run away when murder charges were brought against him.Where those charges politically motivated? Or just yours?....Only one of them stuck. I think he also owes Abhisit and the nation including his own family a public apology ,in addition to the time he is serving  for a specific land deal...before his redemption can truly take place.Let's all be aware of money politics going forward...no govt dept should be used for revenue collection for personal political ambitions.Military Generals should also be prohibited from profits  engaging in grey markets . Thailand should minimise the grey market...not provide govt machinery to extract  funds for personal use and not control the market to gurantee their success...this is a recipe for elitism and stifles growth

These are all signs of getting older. Hypertension is only a slightly elevated blood pressure common for those over 60.. Sleep issues? Haha he is in a prison with many other inmates. He better get used to that. Hair loss? Just another sign of his age. The ExPMs daughter is only trying the poor daddy card. I would bet money the news has never ever reported the problems of getting older while in prison. Not only are these problems common in prison and even out of prison. But they are issues that do not need him in a medical ward while in prison. They are not worthy of constant care also. It is getting near the time for a fake heart attack or extreme depression to set in that would require certain people to allow him to leave there or be given home release to serve his time on a monitor at home.

It really amazes there are going to be so many sympathetic people in Thailand that are shedding tears over this guys problems.

Perhaps they are blinded by his money..

No, hypertension is hypertension. The diagnosis of hypertension in geriatric patients takes into account  the elevated blood pressure that occurs with aging. Age related hairloss is completed by the 50's and certainly by age 60. When it occurs in the older males is is associated with metabolic illness or medical treatments.

You and none of the  self appointed experts are in a position to comment on the man's health state since you have not seen his medical file, nor are qualified to opine on medical matters. Age related health issues are diabolical, always lurking and ready to explode as soon as the immune and endocrine system deteriorates. It is why a  healthy 75 year old can be infirm by age 77. If you live that long, you will understand. It is not  easy being aged 79.

The family dressed formally for the visit, with Pintongta bearing a letter for Thaksin from his seven grandchildren, as a gesture of their affection.

and possibly an updated copy of "The Book "

Think you'll find in this case is it more related to prison requirements on hair length and his new buzz cut to follow those requirements.

do they give a choice of hair styles ?

Amazing how the amount of drugs that are available, maybe when you get out do something useful next time,

You mean kill them at sight??

It's not hair-loss, his forehead is getting bigger.

The Return of Thaksin II seems like a stale remake of the first film in this series.

Hopefully they saved the props, the next scene calls for a neck-brace.

i don't see it that way. one big problem would be solved if he died, whether inside or outside prison.

many people would feel relieved if he were gone for good ...

so it was ok to kill 2500 people  most, it was proven, where not using drugs

I believe the number was over 3,000 and dealers were targeted with users being bycatch.  Sadly, it appears that it was more about consolidation of power by a group who has been named by the UN as a government sanctioned organized crime gang instead of trying to irradicate drug use.

When the Independent Committee on the Casualties of the 2003 War on Drugs established by the Surayud Chulanont government published its report in 2008, it concluded that 1,372 of the people killed had no drug related records.
More importantly, the chair of the commission concluded that all 2,873 killings should be considered crimes against humanity. Since the day the report was published, not a single case has been pursued.

"Lawyers have suggested that Thaksin's drug war might amount to a crime against humanity under Article Seven of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court [ICC], set up in 1992."

Thaksin finds this funny. "I've done nothing wrong!" he laughs. "I just give the policy."

Human rights commissioner Wasant Panich thinks otherwise. "Those who devised the policy are primarily responsible for the deaths," he says.

He's old and not getting any younger. Nothing much to see here.

Oh, you poor thing.....

How devastating you must feel?

Hair loss? try not dying your hair - it should be grey/white like mine, at your age.

Tired? Try to stop scheming, or worming your way back in.... you're done, old man.

Health declining?  Or, just miserable that you have to actually serve your sentence in a .............prison?

IN A PRISON? OMG!

Shock. Horror! How dare they?

Don't they KNOW who I am?

Bless.

The prison thing is theater.  Freeze his assets, strip his weath, seize his passport and let the dotard live out the rest of his days in a cave temple.
