Cafes in 5 star hotels

I expect that the translation was that someone was cruising the  toilets at the Hilton for a hookup. When a person was propositioned to visit the milky way, the response was that there would instead be a launch into the asteroid belt, much as  Jackie Gleason was always saying he would send Alice to the moon.

Which hotels do you hang out at?

Should have also discussed punctuation !!!...     I'd be kinder, but you are claiming intelligence and social class...        As far as people of intelligence and social class

  • Does this happen often?

  • At 5000 ++++  baht per night one would hope so.

A very analytical post and thankyou for your service

Talking about punctuation -i love the hyphen you put in

No your incorrect if one such as me goes to say Soi Bukhao in Pattaya the intelligence level is not high

A few weeks ago I tried to discuss the ingredients of floor disinfectant to another farang in the sports bar ...a very rude man who told me to F....off !

He started off nice ...then when I went into analysis he became rude and shouted he is "watching the football"

I can't tell if you're autistic with poor spelling and punctuation or the next Hunter Thompson.  You'd be a great character in one of those art house type films that men who wear scarves and skinny jeans frequent.  Do you always go out 'in character' ?

Better to just ask where there are better places to eat than telling us what social class you think you should be in. There are many foreigners on this forum willing to help recommending places better than the average noodle shop. And unless someone starts a conversation about floor cleaning products, it's best to listen to what their interests might be and go from there, as that would be a very boring topic to choose when speaking to a stranger.

Oh don't be so opinionated and judgemental!

That's actually good advice, where you won't get into trouble, like going into bathrooms and asking personal questions to strangers, which could get you decked. When people act like they're hi-so, it's always best to let them know where they actually stand, as no one is better than anyone else except in the way they treat others. Look at how you worded your original comment, and see why it's wrong, as others have also pointed out. You want help here, you'll get it if you act like you're one of the gang and not superior.

5,000 is a far better deal at the Hilton than those dodgy spots along Soi Bua Khao charging 2,500 THB.

Well I had the gentlemanly pleasure of going up to level 16 of the Hilton hotel cafe recently where I mixed with the Elite & upper class and I found a "true romance " in conversation with such like-minded people of my intelligence and social class

I met a doctor and we discussed physics

And yes I did tell him my occupation which years ago was called a hospital cleaner but now I'm a "presentation services officer " and he was quite impressed although he didn't ask what my job entails

May I ask you all what other Cafes I can go to in 5 star establishments

Does the Royal Cliff have a Cafe I can go to ?

May I use the facilities of 5 star establishments without being a guest as such ?

May I use the facilities of 5-star establishments without actually being a guest?

Yes, you can at most of those places. I’m genuinely curious what the discussion was about, I love physics.

Whats a waterfall got to do with coffee? Cafe Law cakes are the best Ive had.

I don't know about that, as just peeked, and most look like the frozen type from CN, or mass produced in TH, though understandable, for high traffic venues.

The Apple Crumb/pie thingy was looking good, and hard to find apple pastries here.   If you do find, it's usually the crappy Brit style, all sugar, little to no cinnamon (let along a pinch of any nutmeg, allspice, ginger or cloves).

I really do need to make some apple stuff, as polished off my stash last week or so.

We had nice stuff there. Cafe Law, Grey Cabin and Dose Expresso all walking diatance. Red Lotus too, does a great Pad Thai.

Autistic it is. Keep doing you.

Of all the individuals you want to join the Pattaya sky diving club. 16th floor, what an opportunity missed

I do not hang out in hotels. I do stay in hotels.

I tend to stay at Marriot, Hyatt and Centara affiliated hotels. Now that Novotel lost several of its Asian airport hotels, I don't say at Accor branded hotels. This is the first year in a while I haven't stayed at a Dusit affiliate too. I also stay at some boutique smaller hotels if they are close to a place I need to be.
