A woman jumped from the sixth floor of a major shopping mall in the Rama 9 area on 19 September 2025, leaving her unconscious but alive. Security personnel immediately cordoned off the area and performed CPR before she was rushed to Phra Ram 9 Hospital.

The incident occurred at 20:10, inside the mall in Huai Khwang district, Bangkok. Police from Huai Khwang station arrived at the scene along with mall staff to assist with the emergency response. The injured woman was found on the basement level near the supermarket zone.

Investigation at the sixth floor revealed a chair positioned for climbing and a pair of women’s shoes on the floor. According to preliminary inquiries, the woman had been visiting the mall with a male companion and stopped at the location on the sixth floor. She reportedly used the chair to climb and subsequently jumped to the floor below.

Emergency responders emphasised the swift action of mall security in performing CPR and securing the area, which likely contributed to saving the woman’s life.

Authorities are continuing the investigation and reviewing CCTV footage from the mall to understand the chain of events fully. Hospital staff are monitoring the woman’s condition closely.

I was there when this happened. I'd just finished eating a meal at Spaghetti Factory and sat by the edge. Then all of a sudden there was all might bang and everybody looked over the bannister to see what happened. Things that were memorable to me was the quick acting staff who took sign boards from nearby shops and used them to cover the area and the actual mall staff acted very quickly to cover any disturbing scenes. Their actions lessened people being traumatized from what they might have seen otherwise. It was only about 20 minutes later when you couldn't tell anything had happened.
