Most people are not much interested in History. The Trump admistration has appearantly some members that are wery well versed in History.
As it is their goal to turn the US into a autocracy, they do not need to invent any new procedures to achieve this goal. All they have to do is to look at the old National Socialists when it comes to "how to turn a democracy into a autocracy".

What is currently happening in the US is nothing short of a step by step blueprint of how the NAZIS did it. The step by step similarities are frightening and mindboggeling at the same time.
It is, as if Josef Goebbels has risen from the grave to give the current administration valuable advise: "No need to invent anything new, just do what we did before".

There is also a recent example in the Philippines.  It's a useful modern example because of how they used social media to do it.  Facebook is huge there because it's accessible to anyone with a smart phone, even if they do not have an active plan.   So even most of the poorest people in the country use it.

Reading and an interest in history are paramount in my thinking about the trumpisum movement yes I agree with the added turbocharged influence of social media.personally I fit the demographic of your regular trumpist not well educated older and a bit conservative it’s the knowledge of history that’s enabled me to see through it.Its also their messenger/vehicle in the person of trump.Vote blue these trumpers are a cancer on democracy vote them out!!
