Taxi Collides with Police Escort During Organ Transfer

A public taxi failed to slow down at a red light and collided with a police vehicle leading a convoy transporting a donated lung from Chonburi to Siriraj Hospital, on 22 September. The officer on the police motorcycle, Sgt Maj Watcharanon Kongsinjeerapat, sustained injuries to his right leg and wrist. The collision did not impact the ambulance carrying the organ, allowing the lung to be delivered on time.

Four Bangladeshi men duped in Cambodia arrested in Thailand

Four Bangladeshi nationals who paid over 38,000 baht to be smuggled into Thailand from Cambodia have been arrested by Thai security forces in Sa Kaeo province. The men, who were abandoned in a sugarcane field near the border, were detained on 23 September and handed over to police for legal action.

PEA and Navy Launch Solar Projects in Sattahip

The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) has signed an agreement with the Royal Thai Navy to advance renewable energy projects in Sattahip. The initiative involves installing floating solar and ground-mounted solar farms across six naval sites, with a combined capacity of no less than 9,230 kWp. The signing ceremony took place on 22 September 2025 at the Navy Headquarters in Bangkok, attended by PEA Governor Mongkol Treekitjananont and Admiral Jirapol Wongwit, Commander of the Royal Thai Navy.

Soldier Found Dead in Village Pond in Nakhon Sawan

The body of 44-year-old soldier Sergeant Major Nirutti Putchakarn of R.31, Lopburi province, was discovered face down in a village pond on 22 September, in Moo 14, Takro subdistrict, Phai Sali district, Nakhon Sawan province. The victim had visible injuries consistent with blunt force trauma to the head and face, and his body was found near signs of an attempted clean-up of blood. A black Nissan Navara pickup belonging to the deceased was parked approximately 15 metres from the scene.

Police in Pattaya have made arrests of two Ugandan women for allegedly operating a sex work operation in a hotel, following multiple tourist complaints. The subsidence formed a large cavity around 50 metres deep, extending across the frontage of both Vajira Hospital and the nearby Samsen Police Station. Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul announced on 24 September 2025 that repairing the damaged of the collapsed road and structure of the Purple Line subway tunnel could take no less than one year. The collapse on Samsen Road, in front of Vajira Hospital, has caused major disruption, though no casualties were reported. Anutin confirmed the matter will be treated as urgent in the first Cabinet meeting held later the same day.
