I practice hedonism within controlled limitations, so yes, pleasure is very much part of my life as much I can, but the older I become, the more I limit myself because I think to much about consequences and also being more empathetic with a lot of emphasis for people around me who deserves empathy.

That sound more like an excuse than a valid point in a debate, and mostly an popular argument from those who have choosed to use the bar scene or prostitution instead of a long term relationship. 

 

Generalizations only and not very valid for an healthy debate!

 

Prostitution serves a purpose in societies treating loneliness and different other needs from just an happy ending to more advanced intimacy and sex. In Thailand you can say it is a lifestyle for many lonely expats. 

 

And quite a few is quite harsh against those who are in relationships or married using claims like you do above. Why this hostile behavior against someone who claims they have a good life with mutual benefits based on what they see as love and affection?

I'm not sure everyone knows what hedonism is, and only sees it as villains who do un-christian things

I had some pretty ridiculous experiences in Cambodia a couple of decades ago that would rival anything else I've experienced in this lifetime. Hedonism is a good thing I think it's healthy to experience it from time to time.

How do you define hedoism ? There is quite a few manic chategories of hedoism and how to practice hedoism, but the main purpose or idea is as much pleasure and as little struggle or pain as possible. 

 

Pleasure comes in many ways, and not only through immortality. some people do have a pleasure of helping others and be somebody for others, and by be kind and nice they feel pleasure and have less pain in life. Just one simple example of ethical hedoism
