Anti-vax groups melt down over RFK Jr. linking autism to Tylenol

Health Secretary and anti-vaccine activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Monday evening announced that the use of Tylenol (aka acetaminophen, paracetamol) during pregnancy is linked to autism—an unproven assertion that had previously sent Kennedy's anti-vaccine allies into a rage.

"We didn’t wait 20 years for Bobby to finally speak and then get served Tylenol as an answer," anti-vaccine group Georgia Coalition for Vaccine Choice wrote in an unhinged Facebook post on Monday morning. "If that's all we hear - is that the end? Not thimerosal. Not aluminum. Not MMR. Not Hep B. Not the insane schedule pushed after pharma got liability protection. Are we supposed to just forget?"

Battle of the Loons? Religious war? Let's see whose lies prevail. Pass the popcorn.

I used to think those guys standing on the street corners screaming "The end is near!" were crazy.

Now? Not so much.

From what I have read it is thought to contribute but the argument about the adjuvant aluminium is still going and is in the news more than ever these days

They said in the briefing  that these are the first results/findings/chapter the  research continues and there will be further findings...so wait and see.

If that’s the case then don’t play the fool wait till you have proof before you speak.in my view anyone who takes this loon Kennedy seriously is foolish indeed.

When the Health Secretary is too whacked out crazy for the whacked out crazies.

Its good when extremists lose. The issue is that the only extremists now on the right are only anti vaxxers. On the left everyone is extremist it seems

These are the first results...really?

There was a Swedish autism study which had as its cohort 2.4 million kids. Among other things they compared siblings whose mothers had taken acetaminophen while they were in the womb vs siblings who were not exposed to acetaminophen. On the one hand, when the study included all the children there was a slight bias showing an link with acetaminophen use, but when paired siblings were compared, that bias vanished. No difference in autism frequency detected.

In short, beating a dead horse much?

Just creating more distractions and it will continue to the ends of dawn

I have given up looking for some common sense

Just got my Rabies vaccine done, and will take any vaccine necessary for a good and healthy life to I die, and also take my paracetamol, Ibuprofen, or any medicine that will improve my day, Even it means I will die 10 years younger.

If they finds traces of connection of using Tylenol during pregnancy , of course there should be more researches and follow those clues, but this seems like just another distraction once more,

I'm sure Trump endeared himself to expectant mothers when, in referring to the pain they might experience, he advised them to "tough it out."

autism

goes back to 1911 -  diagnosed by  a Swiss Dr

Tylenol

was 1st on the market in 1955  + over the counter sales in 1959

The biggest risk is untreated fever in pregnancy, not paracetamol

Well, to be accurate, I think high fever was specified. Though how much above the baseline that entails, I didn't see any mention.

High fever of course, and bottom line, should keep the uneducated and politicians away from trying to understand science and how science works. What we know today can change tomorrow, but still can not make up science based on old indications that have been ticked off as just indications.

They have said they would publish proofs in september, and could not produce anything valid of what the masses waiting for, and therefor creating another distraction.

What a load of b----cks

If you think someone who wants to wait until the proper tests have been done on a new drug is an extremist,

I've got a bridge to sell you.

People who couldn't wait to get injected with an unknown substance are incredibly dim, or brainwashed. Or both.

Well, if it may be in the news more thanks to RFK, but the science shows it's a dead issue.

Should we let them keep spewing hate and misinformation, or is someone going to link Tylenol's own post advising pregnant women not to take it?🤣

Trump was right again. He's always right.

Just testing the water.

The big one is yet to come.

It's obvious that Trump was only sending them a small bone. They haven't been fooled, it seems...
