And studies whose results are not aligned with the accepted narrative are of course considered non-trustworthy or low quality.

Such inconvenient results from a study will also almost guarantee that it will not be accepted for publication in 'trustworthy' journals.

A self-fufilling prophecy ensuring the accepted narrative is confirmed and that only when the evidence is absolutely overwhelming and irrefutable that the narrative can be challenged and corrected as 'new scientific insights'.

Same on here Sir.

There are the self-proclaimed, copy & paste, experts, who simply cannot accept a different point of view. Rather than ask (eg) 'what brings you to that conclusion', they post slurs, silly-billy remarks and - as you have often pointed out - simply shoot the messenger cause they cant debate the issue.

Of course, the above report is a bit hard to swallow since there is NO proven autism-acetaminophen connection, though there has been a lot of studies and discussion on the topic -- which could well ha

It's now a separate company called Kenvue.

On an aside, have you seen the idiot pregnant lefties snarfing down Acetaminophen just to spite Trump?  I hope it's just an urban myth, but it seems one of them is in hospital on a ventilator after spiting Trump by popping multiple Tylenol.  That'll teach Trump supporters.

BTW, Non- Americans may know Acetaminophen as Paracetamol.

I saw videos of them. The Syndrome is very real, and very sad.

Tell me you don't think this lunatic would snarf down enough Tylenol to put herself in the hospital, just to prove Trump wrong:

You never know when someone is a real person or a "paid actor" in the political chess match.

harmful to pregnant people

It's off topic, but why can't these luminaries at the ACOG just say "pregnant women"? Are there many pregnant men out there?

leucovorin

Leucovorin is primarily used in animals as an antidote to counteract the toxic effects of methotrexate, a chemotherapy drug. It helps to prevent or treat certain types of anemia and is administered under veterinary guidance.

That of course does not mean that Leucovorin is used "exclusively" or even "mostly" or even "commonly" for treatment of horse autism.

It simply means I decided the result I wanted before firing up the googles.  I typed in "Leucovorin animal use" to get an animal use factoid.  "....Leucovorin is primarily used in animals...."

"Search Assist" gave me exactly what I was looking for!  If not, I can rephrase it until I do.  Lather, rinse, repeat.

Next I entered "autism causes cancer" and search assist output:

"There is no direct evidence that autism causes cancer; however, some studies suggest that individuals with autism may have an increased risk of developing certain types of cancer due to shared genetic factors. Research indicates that while individuals with autism may have a higher burden of mutations in cancer-related genes, they actually have lower rates of cancer compared to the general population."

My next task will be to quote-mine the response and spread the following on the intertubes

"...studies suggest that individuals with autism may have an increased risk of developing certain types of cancer..."

"...individuals with autism may have a higher burden of mutations in cancer-related genes..."

Disinformation and conspiracy theorizing is fun and easy!

Oh, no!  It's worse than we fearded!

Put down that organic milk!

Search Assist says:

"There is currently no scientific evidence to support the claim that cheese or dairy products cause autism. Some studies suggest a potential link between dairy sensitivity and autism symptoms, but more research is needed to understand this relationship fully."

A little slicing, a little dicing, and.....

"....studies suggest a potential link between dairy sensitivity and autism symptoms..."

Does this mean nature does NOT have the answer?

And refutations from other quarters. The response seems pretty overwhelming and  consistent from organizations throughout the medical / public health world:

"In a statement, the Coalition of Autism Scientists said: “The data cited do not support the claim that Tylenol causes autism and leucovorin is a cure, and only stoke fear and falsely suggest hope when there is no simple answer.”

You mean the ones that would be on the hook for $billions, maybe $trillions if it's true?

If it is true (and I'm not claiming that the evidence is definitive), it could be bigger than mesothelioma (asbestos) and the California lead lawsuit combined.
