A Bangkok–Sing Buri passenger minibus skidded off the road and overturned in a ditch during heavy rain in Ayutthaya, leaving several passengers injured. Police confirmed that four people, including the driver, suffered injuries and were rushed to hospital. The incident occurred around 05.30 on 27 September 2025 along the inbound Asia Highway near kilometre marker 25 in Ban Ko, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya district.

Emergency services from Phutthaisawan Foundation were called to assist at the crash site. The vehicle, a white Bangkok-registered joint service bus operating the Sing Buri–Bangkok route, was found overturned in a roadside ditch with long skid marks visible on the road surface. Injured passengers, all women, reported chest pains and body wounds.

According to one passenger, the bus had left Sing Buri bus terminal with six passengers and the driver. Heavy rain began to fall during the journey and a speed warning signal inside the bus was heard repeatedly before the vehicle began to swerve. Witnesses described the bus spinning out of control before plunging into the roadside ditch.

Police investigators at the scene took photographs and collected evidence to determine the cause of the crash. Officers from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Police Station said both the driver and passengers would be questioned further once medical treatment is complete. Early indications suggest road conditions and speed played a role, though no official conclusion has yet been made.

Authorities will continue their investigation to establish whether mechanical issues, driver error or weather were the primary causes. Findings will be used to determine if further action against the driver or the bus operator is required.
