A unnamed foreign tourist riding a big bike, on 27 September 2025 at around 01:00, lost control and crashed at a sharp bend on the Tri Trang mountain road in Kathu district, Phuket. The motorcycle veered off the road and fell into a deep ravine, leaving the rider injured and trapped. Rescue teams were dispatched to the scene to retrieve the victim and recover the vehicle.

Police at Patong Station reported receiving the emergency call and immediately notifying superiors. They coordinated with Kusoldharm Phuket Foundation and Patong Hospital to dispatch rescue personnel. Witnesses confirmed that the motorcycle rider lost control at a bend and fell off the roadside into a ravine, where it became lodged in trees.

The injured tourist was found caught on a barbed wire fence deeper in the ravine. Rescue teams used ropes and specialised equipment to rappel down and secure the man before bringing him up to safety. Emergency medical personnel then assessed his injuries and arranged urgent transport to Patong Hospital.

Initial medical reports stated the tourist sustained multiple injuries, including a visibly broken upper right leg. He was receiving treatment at Patong Hospital. Authorities have not yet determined the precise cause of the crash but suspect excessive speed combined with steep, winding road conditions.

Police have urged motorists, particularly at night, to exercise extra caution when travelling along the Tri Trang mountain route. Further investigations are ongoing to confirm the cause of the crash.
