My 50ies have been the best ever, even considering everything I have done previously in life both in work and life in general have been a lot more exiting and challenging and a lot more money, this is where I want to be, and do not want to change a thing if I can.

Steady boring good life with one woman. Still travelling a lot, but that’s just to keep the worst restlessness away, and keep being distracted just by doing something.

It depends on you outlook. For me it has only got better but I have a very positive outlook on the future. For others is will get worse if they are of the mindset that everything is against them.

30s was best for me. Trying to recreate them!

I truly believe recreating the past is a dead end, since your body was at a different place and stage, and your mind tends to colour and romanticize past experiences.

Like a garden, you must cultivate yourselves for future not past and give your future the correct nutrients to grow. It is all in your mind. The state of mind is everything

Good point. The world changes too. Albert Collins in his song says bend like a willow tree.

I think much of it depends on the decisions and actions you made throughout your life before growing old. If your poor decisions have resulted in bad health, financial struggles, incomplete education, burned bridges, more enemies than friends, etc., then your golden years just might be tarnished. You reap what you sow.

You answered your question already😄

Tomorrow is the beginning of the rest of your life. Assume you are an alien visiting.

Mine was getting better until the day after my 2nd Pfizer.

But I don't think I'm supposed to say that, or I'll get in trouble with a lot of the posters on AN.

Anything can be turned around, same as those who have a good life, it can turn in a moment of bad luck, while those who struggles, can also see the light, and make it better. It doesn’t matter where you are at now, if you do not make the necessary changes for tomorrow going the be status Q or be better than yesterday.

It can be as simple as a personal choice, at least I like to think so

... but then yesterday would also have been the beginning of the rest of my life, when yesterday was the prior day's tomorrow...?  And today is yesterday's tomorrow...

This could get confusing. 😉

Different alien, different planet.

Smoother, that's for sure. Life just slides by these days.

I can't find the time to do all the things I'd like to, but there's no rush.  🙂

Well, the body manifestly gets worse. I'm not as athletic as I used to be.

Whilst the mind loses some dynamic energy, it gets filled with more knowledge, which is extremely useful.

I'm  only 54, so too early to say, but I would not say things got a lot better.

I think after 50 you try to conserve what you have, healthwise, lookswise, and financially as well.

Personally, youth I thought was preferable.

I'm not even going to bother pointing out the multiple flaws in your logic.

Thanks. And I shall not point out the flaws in your sense of humour.

Tough one to answer, different phases, different pros & cons.

...  45 yrs old & onward to 71 soon, retired, no work schedule, and raising daughter, pretty hard to beat.   Along with now, being independent of gov't service (almost) and utilizes, PEA & petrol.   That's a pretty cool feeling.  Only one short marriage, then single again, and always fun.  Present wife & kid ... 20+ yrs of BLISS

... 30 - 40 yrs old, single and having too much fun ... BUT ... work schedule until the latter 3 years.  38-45 and had a 2 day work week ... BLISS.

... 20 - 30, Sex Drugs & RR ... BUT ... 2 short & failed marriages (mutual & unscathed).  Fun decade.

... 25 - 38, work hard toward retired, but played hard at the same time.  Where did all the energy go :cheesy:

Really don't think I'd change anything, even with the speed bumps, not a bad ride at all.  Definitely realize how lucky & blessed I've been.

Never felt the heartache of any sudden deaths, except one dog, which really through for a loop.  But seriously, surely can't compare to loss of a loved one, human that is.  Friends of mine have loss their spouses, one losing their kid, and I can't imagine that kind of pain.  I'll take 2 herniated discs and a few other broken bones any day.

BE SAFE ... ENJOY

Sorry if I don't see any humor in my quality of life taking a nosedive.

I do appreciate your civility.  And I mean that sincerely.  Others on AN have attacked me and my ancestors back 1000 years.

It got better from 45 to 65, and worse from 65 to 70.

I suspect I'm on the final downslope, but don't know how steep the downhill run is.

I find life goes double quick here vs back home in the UK, so that should tell you

Life navigates a trajectory resembling an upside-down U, illustrating the ups and downs we all experience.

I got 5 shots of Biontech/Pfizer and feel great, probably better than before

Definitely a good thing, you remember a time when life used to drag?
