Paddy Doyle starts new series in Lopburi

Featured Replies

The only Lopburi video that I would click on, would be called Lopburi, what to do on day number two.

The old lonely planet guides were brilliant for the background information and history of each place. But that has declined with each edition . What was a paragraph about an interesting temple, would now be down to a single sentence.

Joe Cummings only got $10,000 for writing the whole very thick book. That’s why a fair amount of it is either made up or secondhand info.

How much you're life must suck that you can't get enjoyment from simple things without degrading those that can. Are you a teacher ? Those that can, do. Those that can't, teach.

Having been to Lopburi earlier this year I can assure you it's a half day place visit

I unfortunately had to get out quick and thus paid a taxi 2000 back to Bangkok

I was assaulted (slapped) which  I don't want to get into

I can see similarities with both the GG's.

I won't hop on a plane, so Mickey Stotch and Paddy Doyle will have to do for a tip or 2 for TH.

I really can't be bothered with the rest ... 'OMG / secret gem' folks ... that most already know about, or simply follow Mark Wein, and state how 'they' discovered this new hidden dining gem.   Love it when they spew their totally incorrect history or knowledge of a place or culture.

????How is that connected to "Itchy Boots" ???

Why do you think it is ?

I'm in TH, no desire to leave, so only watch the 2 YT'ers mentioned.

Then why even comment on the thread, if you have no interest.  The thread is about Thai YT'er (s), or anyone interested in Paddy Doyle's next adventure or a heads up if never knew of his vids.

Has Itchy done any Thai vids, and any different than riding around on a scooter and talking about what interests her.

Edit:  she has, though dated, but how is this content different from Doyle's or Stotch's.

Holy crap, that's worse than any vid of the 2 Thai YT'ers.  Drum maching music and riding around.   Stop at Buddhe image, but doesn't bother.... WTF

SRY ... her first beach, meaning she drove past Cha Am, Hua Hin & PranBuri beaches.   Not much of an adventurer.   I've been here 25 yrs, and still buzz by them for no reason.   Certainly wouldn't pass them if never been here before, especially as well known as HH is.   Zero info in her content.

Defiantly different strokes for different folks

I got all paddied out during his last trip to Thailand. Kind of can't hack all Thailand travel videos as they tend to feel a bit mundane and familiar. Could be good ones out there.

So she finds her first beach in Thailand, and decides to drive illegally on it ... nice.

Her vids really suck, hopefully better now than 6 yrs ago.  Unless you want zero info, and just drum machine watching her drive along the highway, most of the vid.  Wait, she may be blonde, and a female, and 3+ M follow for that ??? :cheesy:

I used to enjoy his videos when he started out on his scooter around Thailand - still figuring out his presentation style. Once he found it, however, it was definitely not appealing to me. A little too much slick BBC narration style with very little substance. He was literally racing through areas and stopping at a couple random cafes and not spending any time in these areas whatsoever. A complete waste of my time if I had assumed I was going to learn anything about these places. The final straw for me was when he visited the Azores and constantly complained about  how difficult it was to get around, so he stayed in his hotel and never saw anything of interest, all because he didn't have a car driver license. Dude, if you want the job of travel vlogger then, step 1: learn how to drive a car. Sheeesh.

I was here LONG BEFORE the other GG pretender, as you know.

The other GG has done his best to usurp my preeminent position on TV.

And, he has been riding my coat-tails, ever since.

Is this fair?

I ask you....!!!!!

I haven't what?

Anyway, for sure, I welcome all contrary opinions to mine, and yours, especially.

I like reading your input.

Tks.

Take care, bro....

Anything is possible, as you say.

Anyway, whatever is true, is not important to me, in some cases.
