flights originating from South LatAm - yellow fever certificate?

Featured Replies

There're flights to Thailand, with a transit,  via Turkiye for instance, from the likes of Panama, Colombia.... that I might choose. However, they are all in the yellow zone in regards to yellow fever. That is, in Thailand, apparently, I might not be let it, if not in refused onboard in the origin. Nonetheless, I've heard of cases of others who took such flights with no issue, and no certificate.

What's the situation in practice?

The TDAC requires you to mention any country you've been to in the last (if I remember right) 14 days. I don't think you get refused boarding. You might get problems when you land in Thailand. I guess they might force you to get a vaccine shot. This pisses me off too because I sometimes spend time in SA not long before flying to Thailand. In SA I stay in big cities where the yellow fever risk is zero. Not to mention that having been vaccinated against yellow fever several times in my lifetime, I am more than immune.

Best not to lie on your TDAC though if your passport has a fresh exit stamp from a SA country.

Oh sweet Buddha in Nirvana, don't let The Red One or any of the other anti-vaxxer nutters see this thread or it's all over!😄

Bitter pro-vaxxer - @BLMFem - has appeared in the topic.  Oh sweet Buddha in Nirvana, what's he doing here? Will he advice others how to stay healthy? Of that heath which he precisely doesn't have?

I stayed for 10 months in Amazonia 😃 . Nothing.

But the thing is, even if I take a flight from Dominicana which isn't in the yellow zone, transit through Panama for a few hours ... as Turksih airlines transit through it, and which is in the yellow zone... then through Turkey, then arrive to Thailand, this will still be considered a danger.
