Pattaya - World Class Family Resort

Featured Replies

Okay - so in Pattaya for a few days. Clear, sunny skies, gentle breeze off the ocean - a very pleasant 32 degrees.

But - can’t sit on chairs under umbrellas near beach, because it is a ‘clean-up’ day.

what other country would do this in their ‘family centric resorts’?

BTW - yes - the beach could do with a clean (the whole city too) - but surely early morning or night time would be more convenient for everyone.

thank you - whinge over!

Yes another silly idea..  but if you try taking your own  table umbrella and chair on the other days  you'll be in for a "big surprise"

Another silly idea was cutting down most of the shade trees  and then having the chair/umbrella merchants set up under the remaining trees so that you could no longer  sit under the shade tree on your own chair..and as mentioned  woe betide anyone  setting their own chairs/umbrella/table up  in a  vendor designated area  in fact woe betide anyone even parking their vehicle on the road and not using the nearest umbrella vendor...not to mention the silly no alcohol on the beach law  and less silly no smoking on the beach law  I know some people don't like second hand smoke but  there is normally a bit of wind  and its outside  and they burn the fields and forests for months of the year  so I think its silly.

Thank you - whinge over!

It's only Wednesdays, you can go tomorrow, or yesterday

Was that you I saw last week?

You could try Jomtien beach  I think their no umbrella days are different to Pattaya's.
