Hi there, I normally use a DTAC one year SIM card, I get 100 GB's per month so I keep my use under 3.23 GB's per day so that suits me fine. Recently I've had to download several things including a full system reset so my current monthly limit has nearly expired. So can I top up this SIM card, some shops say yes and others say no. This is the first time this has happened to me so this is why I'm seeking assistance from someone who may have a solution.

It's best to ask DTAC if it will affect the main package if you purchase a temporary add-on.  Check via 1678.

How many days are left before it renews? It will slow down to 128kbps, so you'll still have a connection. I suggest that you buy an Unlimited data pack when it runs out.

Unlimited 8 Mbps is 38 baht per day incl VAT or 85 baht for three days.

I'm just about on my monthly limit now with 2 days to go  before it resets. I'll report back on the outcome

If you need the codes, they are *104*387*9#  and then press the Dial key to confirm. You'll need at least 35 baht of credit.

For three days *104*790*9# then to press the Dial key to confirm. Have at least 85 baht of credit. 

 

You need careful with DTAC. If the package is listed as 24 hours, yet get 24 hours of service. But if it's listed as 1 Day...then best to apply the package as soon after midnight as possible. If you apply it before midnight, that's as long as you get.
