Featured Replies

Do you have to do the first 90day report yourself on a new marriage visa/extension  or can an 'agent' do it ? aka my Thai wife.

You can use an agent or wife for 90 report in person.

That's a bit confusing, you say I can use my wife then you say in person, it will be the first report of the year.

You state.....

"on a new marriage visa/extension"

What is your situation.

You had a new Non O and obtained an extension?

Have you been already doing extensions?

Extensions are not related to 90 reports except for the very first one you do from a Non O

Yes

Ok understand now.

So your extension started your 90 clock.

The first extension needs to be done in person.

Can be done by anyone on your behalf

Heck. So now it's ongoing extensions.

90 report does not need to be done in person.

If opting for in person report anyone can do it.

Why not do it online

Sorry jack your not making sense you say must be done in person then you say "can be done by anyone on my behalf"

My IO is nearby

For questions regarding 90 reporting here is clear guide.

Here is snippet from that guide..

"If going in person isn’t convenient, you can have someone else submit the report for you. This can be accomplished with a visa agent authorized to handle it on your behalf, saving you a trip"

Read again, this was what I wrote.

"In person" means any person, just not online.

That's correct so currently 3 options

1. In person which includes someone on your behalf.

2. Online

3. Via mail.

Let's hope that one day they can shake up their IT to handle online possible after trip from abroad.

It's not their IT as when the current system was launched towards the end of 2021 I did a couple of successful online reports after overseas trips.  They made a deliberate policy change to this, for reasons unknown to me.

Was there a change to the 90 day reporting rules ? Has the one week after date rule been abolished ? Meaning the day you need to report is the final day for example 21.10 no more additional 7 days without paying a fine ?

For in-person reporting you have 7 days after the report date.

For online, I believe you do not.

For in person yes up to 7 days after.

For online some sites with advice state up to 15 days prior till due date.

Some state between 15 days prior and one week prior.

These windows get discussed offer.

This IMO is best option.

For Mail + Online do it as soon as window opens. Meaning 15 days prior.

For in person.. Up to you however avoid doing it after due date.

After trip abroad you cannot report online however in person and also via mail ok.

(via mail is not stated in the various guides)

You'll need to do your first 90 day in person.  After that, sign up for online.

That is good to hear regarding the ability to do the first 90 day reporting online.

I was in the UK for five months earlier this year.

I had a reentry visa linked to my non O old bloke visa extension.

I arrived back in Thailand on the 8th September and so I have to report 90 days after that, so you are saying you have been able to do the first report online now?

I did all of the previous 90 day reports online as it only takes a few minutes.

So the date of arrival from now on in my reports will have to be shown as the 8th of September and that will be the case for each of the 90 day reports?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

No, what he's saying is it is a deliberate policy decision to require the first report to be in person after returning.  It's not a technical limitation.  There's an actual officer at your local immigration office that processes the online submissions, and they will purposefully deny your application and give the reason that you must report in person after entering Thailand.

No. You cannot do it online.

You can do it in person or via mail.

Here is your next due date.

Your starting date is September 8, 2025 so that means that 89 days later would be December 6, 2025.

Thats correct. Naturally if you exit again and return that "date of arrival" Will change.

OK, thanks for your info, there is a drive through 90 day report station in Phuket and it only takes ten minutes to process, no forms to fill in etc, I will do that for the first report.
