If he can “behave” over the next year and  really stop wars in a just way, then I would agree he will have earned the 2026 NPP.

You want Gazans to remain in their tiny piece of land, which is surrounded by high fences and there’s a blockade, and do nothing. No. And what part of "defend themselves" includes gang rape, murder of civilians, and hostage taking?

As to what I expect them to do? First, get rid of Hamas. Then, stop spending the billions in aid dollars on weapons and terror tunnels. Gaza would have been solved by now if Hamas had not stolen the aid money sent by naive foreigners. Third, take steps to drag their culture out of the 8th century. No more killing women and LGBT, no more teaching hate to children, etc.

 

Then they can prosper, as  I hope they will do soon.

My contention for the past few decades has been that the Brits (and the UN) put Israel into an intractable situation 80 years ago where violating international law is the only way they can survive as a nation.
