How do I find a short term place to live here?

Featured Replies

I have two rooms free in my house, 5000 baht each. But I'm 30 minutes from Nimman.

You can check in any time you want, but you will never leave.

  • I never ever had to live in a place with a smelly toilet in Thailand. That's one of the first things to check. Shower, toilet, water flow and if the water drains away. Before the functioning of AC's.

  • If you want month by month stay, you pay month by month price.   I'm sure you find options on airb.

"I want to live on Nob Hill, but I want to pay 'wrong-side-of-the-tracks' rent and only rent month to month."
Yes, Neiman is Chiang Mai's 'upscale' location these days, and the Digital Nomad Holy Grail. But the smart ones live outside the Neiman area and just walk there daily to their shared work spaces. That seems to work as well.  When, after a few months, they 'hear' about a great place IN Neiman, they can move. You're just coming on the scene and expecting to be served up just what you want without putting in the time to find it.

with a smelly toilet and a <deleted>ty bed. This I suppose is the "digital nomad paradise".

Your nose doesnts work

Before coming back to Chiang Mai this time round, from overseas I was checking out the following face book page:

Chiang Mai Rental Properties *UNDER* 10,000 per month.

There is a huge amount of various properties in all locations, and varying lengths of stay

It gave me a good indication of what to expect, and assisted in my selection of properties to view beforehand.

My preferred choice had a few units available when conducting a Google search after arrival in the country, although they were only through a reputable agent.

Have settled in nicely.
