I would worry about rigidity in a BEV truck, if they fix that then I think it’s a good choice if it’s a lifestyle truck.

Actually it's better according to some research I've been doing:

"EVs with structural battery integration (CTB/CTC) have superior torsional rigidity because battery cells are integrated directly into the chassis structure, contributing stiffness. Frame flex is engineered for controlled energy absorption in crashes, protecting the rigid battery case while maintaining structural performance."

    lots of pretties.

  • Thanks but no thanks, prefer a couple minutes to fill up and a 900km range and not have to fuss for a recharge in the boonies. Too each their own though.

  • Sorry dear friend, they only make 100% combustion engines for me, the only battery I want in a vehicle is the little one to crank it over.

I am not going to the 2025 motor expo because I have had my Mitsubishi Pajero GT for 14 years and do not need any other car in the next 10 years:coffee1:

I have always preferred diesel any time instead of Gasoline. Why do you prefer gasoline pickup?

A diesel pickup engine will outlast the gasoline by 2 times.

If I buy one it better be without that DPF system, or have it removed.

That Ford MS-RT is a nice truck. At many Toyota dealers you can find a the Hilux 2.8 Low Floor at a good discount, Euro5 without that DPF crap. in sport mode its really great, you should try.

I have the Fortuner Legender 2.8, and in sport mode it's really good and responsive. Normal and Eco it is so slow... but I dont know if I should tune it or not.

Iam not anti diesel.

I have a compound turbo Izuzu 4jjj being built to put into my slammed Izuzu Cameo.

The Ford diesel V6 though is a piece of poo, the benzine V6 is decent and will go to 460kw with a few mods.

Saw this today, that tells a lot about Toyota in Thailand.

by 2028 when all 10 new EV models are out, other brands will be on the 6th iteration already with a 12 years head start , good Luck Toyota!

in 10 years Toyota will be remembered for all the great gas cars still running well but nobody wants.
