Yes, my gf also comes now paying for herself. Indeed when you are young you may get a discount, but only for short time. Never for long time, ie a long serious relationship. I think whilst this approach is impeccable in terms of logic and supported by the current understanding of not just the manosphere but all participants in the sexual marektplace, including women, ie you look at the value of each, and you seek to carefully enter into a transactional relationship that is beneficial to both sides, this approach has a serious flaw.

 

As the arrangement is one of extraction, you seeking something from her, and  she seeking something from you, if the point arrives when that which was being extracted can no longer be extracted, or is extracted in lower numbers, then this relationship becomes unsatisfactory for the person now receiving less. For instance, if you are with a woman because she is beautiful, and she becomes uglier as she ages, inevitably problems will arise, and you will become antagonistic towards that woman. Or if a woman is with a man to extract money, and he suddenly has less money, then she is likely to be dissatisfied.

 

Which shows the ultimate limitation of transactional relationships. They are not real love. They are, at heart, really, transactional relationships. Which are fine, for as long as what is being transacted is in plentiful supply, but as soon as that is no longer the case, then serious problems arise.

Well, obviously I wish you the best and hope you escape the pitfalls of "modern love", ie transactional relationships. And no doubt it is true that in time a bonding and affection takes place. That's a fair point. But as time progresses and whilst the bond gets stronger, paradoxically the foundation of the transactional relationship gets weaker because whatever this foundation was, her looks, your money, her ability to keep things running smoothly, this decreases with time. There will be a point when each party will receive far less than they are currently getting. Some can deal with this, for others it results in growing dissatisfaction which destroys the relationship ultimately. Unless of course real love, of the old fashioned kind, ie not transactional love but love rooted in selflessness and fullness, is developed. Which is hard to do.

Well, I think we may know for sure in the case of Phuket girl. I have an update.

 

So you will recall I had set an opening gambit of "Just fly to Chiang Mai" to which she had predictably replied "You come to Phuket first".

 

My next move was to say "Look, if I fly to Phuket it will be 15000 baht, I tell you what, if you just come to CM I'll just give you what I would have spent flying to Phuket as girlfriend allowance". 

 

She then replied how much that would be and when she would get it, I said  well 16000 over 2 months, 8000 one month and 8000 the next month.

 

She insisted she wanted the money up front. I declined but suggested she can get 4000 at the outset and 4000 more when she arrives, with the next 8000 after one month, if she stays a second month.

 

At that point she asked if "shopping" was included, and if that was the case with my previous girlfriend. So I said, well, my previous gf got 8000 a month, plus things like a new phone, I fixed her teeth, and of course presents from Lazad, but you're not my girlfriend right?  You said you don't want to be tied down and want to be free to have sex with other men?

 

So she replied "No, not sex. I don't like to have sex with random men". I thenk asked "So what did you mean when you said you want your "freedom" and dont' want to be tied down with anyone?

 

She then said "Just talk". So she wanted 16000 plus presents and shopping on top, the full girlfriend experience, PLUS the freedom to talk to other guys. 

 

So I then said No, that's completely unacceptable. Looks like we're not on the same page. Le'ts not talk anymore. I'm happy for you to come if you are loyal and all in.
