New TV wanted

Featured Replies

7 years ago I bought an Aconatc Smart TV. It has stopped showing any picture. It has been to repairer twice and each time the repair has lasted only a few weeks.

I now plan to buy a new Smart TV, but I request members to recommend a reliable brand.

Buy a  TCL on Lazada and Shopee, very good value. I have a Samsung, i loathe it, looking forward to buying a TCL with Google TV

Philipps for sure...nothing else...and keep away from those Samsungs...many people around me are having issues with this brand...not specifically on TV's but in most of their appliances.

I've got a TCL 75", best TV I've ever owned (3 year warrenty) .......16,500bht from the TCL official store on Lazada.

Google TV is amazing for input choices!

All my Samsung stuff failed TV/fridge/air-con ...... all rubbish.

I must have the same TCL 75 inch Google TV because that's about what mine cost.

I am annoyed by how long it takes to start and load Google. I've enabled quick start and done everything I can think of but it still takes, I don't know, 30 to 45 seconds. That doesn't seem like much but I just want a TV to turn on when I turn it on not have to stand there with the remote in my hand waiting.

Is this true of yours also?

Up to 5s sometimes, but normally 1 or 2 on quick start.

Mine is 2+ years old now.

We have 2 TCL's 65/55  not bad TV's for the cost. One works great, the other is a pain in the backside.  It won't auto connect to VPN, google takes for ever to load and on and on.
Bought them @ Lotus on sale so I could easily return them if needed
I've always had LG 's w/OLED before this and zero complaints. Fantastic picture.
Samsung TV's are good too, their appliances suck butt though.

Had a 65" TCL, it was garbage so sent it to scrap.

75" Samsung that replaced it, absolutely brilliant.

What's amusing is some swear by certain brands while others condemn the same. I've had good luck with brands some have cursed. Samsung has usually been a good brand for me in appliances and a TV here.

You got 7 years out of your last one, so you've done well.

Most Tv's are pretty good now days.

Whatever you decide, some will say it's crap whilst others will say it's good.

Tv's are so cheap these days, it's hard to go wrong.

A friend just bought a 98 inch TCL for 64 000 Baht.

Got a 12 year old, 48" dumb Samsung for Firestick in the bedroom. Perfect. Repaired once, 10 years ago.

6 year old Samsung 4K Smart 55" with Soundbar. Was Bht 27000 together. Great picture and sound. Lousy Smart UI. I use PC with Bluestacks instead. Never gone wrong.

TCL 4K 55", Bht 7000 from Makro 2 years ago. 3 year warranty.  Good for the family who like Thai TV. 4 year old can talk via the remote.

TCL UHD 32", use it for PC monitor in my workroom. Bht 4000 from Shopee, 3 years warranty. Brilliant.
