Is there any reason to use a portable dehumidifier in a apartment in say Pattaya ?

Or are they only used in wet areas mostly ?

Is their use only to stop mould ?

If I was in a old building would it be more beneficial?

 

That's what AC does, can even use dry mode if need be.

 

Only reason for extra dehumidifier is if the AC doesn't go low enough. Mine goes down to around 60% but some people like it lower

Dehumidifier will heat up the room.
