The funding bill has not passed congress, thats why there is a shut down. There are 2 houses that make up congress  so yes do your homeork. The Republicans are not in town working on a funding bill that can passed only the dems so do some research.

This current law is the Big Beautiful Bill that sunsets, 1.4M lawfully present immigrants that will lose federal health coverage by 2034. A savings  that reduces federal spending by about $131 billion.

 

Check your facts on immigrants benefits that are funded by the govt and don't post misleading info. 

SNAP is a scam anyway. It is not just essential nutrition for the starving and needy. The list of lux and unneeded items that can be bought with SNAP benefits is insane. 

 

Protein powder, gift baskets, Dr Pepper, cereal bars, prime rib roasts, chocolate, birthday cakes, etc.

 

Hardly essentials. I have yet to see a "starving person" complaining about SNAP.

Correct My mistake. The clean CR has passed the House of Reps and it's the left wing of the Democtratic Party in the Senate that refuse to pass it unless their $1.5 trillion blackmail list is inluded.

Basically, there are 6 or 7 people who are preventing the government from opening. They are Senate democrats. Any 6 or 7 could vote to open the government and help all those poor folks. But they would rather hold out for subsidies for the absurdly named "AFFORDABE Care Act".  I guess it really isn't very affordable now, is it?

Its not blackmail so don't post stupidity. There are 2 branches in congress elected to represent ALL the citizens not just Republicans or Trump cultist. And their issues.  

 

Republicans are the ones refusing to come to work to create a funding bill that will serve all citizens, not just the rich or trumps followers. Make yourself knowledgeable. How much has trump given away to other countries yet neglects supporting all Americans with a comprehensive budget plan ?

 What the Dem shutdown has shown is a massive corrupt program!

 

 

Its about the budget funding and the dems are there at work everyday but where are the Republicans? Sleeping and avoiding coming in to work together to create a funding bill that serves all.
