A 21-year-old woman from Loei province has alleged she was violently assaulted and gang-raped by three Chinese men in a Pattaya residence. The incident was reported to the Nong Prue Police Station on the morning of 5th November 2025. The victim, using the pseudonym May, was in a state of extreme distress when she filed the complaint, detailing a brutal attack that occurred after a night out.

According to her statement, May had been at a restaurant-bar in South Pattaya with a friend the previous evening. Her friend left to meet her Chinese boyfriend, leaving May alone at the venue. She was then approached by a Thai woman who invited her to join a group, which included Chinese men and they subsequently moved to a karaoke bar. There, she became friendly with one of the men, who later invited her to his house in the Khao Talo Soi 7 area, approximately two kilometres away.

Upon arriving at the house in the Nong Prue sub-district, she discovered two other Chinese men inside. The situation quickly turned violent as the three men allegedly dragged her into a bedroom. They then physically overpowered her, holding her down on a bed and took turns raping her. After the assault, the distraught woman was reportedly given 1,000 baht by the men, an act which she stated only intensified her anger.

A motorcycle taxi rider, who transported May from the scene, confirmed her distressed state. He reported picking her up around 05:35, noting she was crying and trembling uncontrollably. After she informed him of the assault, he took a photograph of the house and saw a Chinese man open the door. The rider then advised her and took her directly to the police station to file a report.

Police investigators, accompanied by an interpreter, subsequently went to the house and located the three Chinese men. All three were taken to Nong Prue Police Station for questioning. During initial interrogation, the men admitted that two of them had sexual relations with the woman but claimed it was consensual. They alleged a price had been agreed upon beforehand, insisting the encounter was not rape.

The case is currently under negotiation between the two parties. Initial reports indicate the victim demanded 300,000 baht from each man, but an agreement has not yet been reached. The police investigation is ongoing as they work to verify the conflicting accounts of the incident and what legal action will be taken.

Jail time hopefully along with compensation

Maybe not, A few thousand dollar payment, split between the girl and the police, and that will be the end of that if she will not press charges. Have seen it happen.

Maybe it was consensual until they short changed her. I thought it was only Indians who worked on the premise that 3 participate and pay for 1. If this is genuine she's not very smart being escorted around by total strangers especially in a city like Pattaya.

What kind of message would that send?  Rape someone in Thailand and all that happens to you is a trip home?

If it was rape (and not a P4P transaction gone sideways), they need to be locked up.  Not sent home.

I am totally against this.

I have had an extremely bad experience with a woman from Loei, an out and out criminal and thief.

This story rings true, but when I hear Loei the hairs on my neck stand up.

Could be a shake down, but probably unlikely the story sounds plausible.

Payment after the event does not confirm it was consensual....

May have been a guiltily conscience.

If she had accepted the 1000 they could claim she did it for money and therefore not rape

300000 is a ridiculous number. Should be at least 3M a head, with jail time until full payment.

Will the forum brown shirts be along to offer bigoted generalizations about the 3 accused Chinese nationals?

Will we see demands for banning of Chinese visitors?

This type of alleged crime by Chinese nationals in infrequently reported in the english language media.

If the 'negotiations' are successfully concluded does that mean the police investigation is cancelled?  Do the police get a % of the deal?

Do you have any idea what it would do to tourist numbers if every tourist who hired a hooker could be prosecuted and extorted after the transaction?

I don't claim to know what happened here, but this is a salient point in the OP:  During initial interrogation, the men admitted that two of them had sexual relations with the woman but claimed it was consensual. They alleged a price had been agreed upon beforehand, insisting the encounter was not rape.

But what if the men... lied?

They may have.

But it's not as if Pattaya has no hookers.  It should be pretty easy to figure out if she's one of them.

Would probably be good for the overall mainstream tourist numbers, if it deterred the SEX tourists.

You mean the ones that visit Pattaya for the temples and the pristine beaches?

Hooker or not is irrelevant.

Men should not rape women.

The statement by the taxi driver is quite damning. Doubt if a hooker would carry on so much about being short changed.

Compensation is ridiculous. They should be charged with rape and prosecuted, not given an opportunity to buy their way out.

Foreigners think all women in Pattaya are whores.

It is because so many are, and most foreigners don’t have any contact with normal women who are not.

Regardless of a woman's chosen occupation or stated profession, you don't pin them down and have forced sex with them.

Likely insulted her by giving her 1,000 instead of 10,000. She was obviously there for the sex... or more accurately, the money.

Why else would a young girl of 21 go back to the house of a man she had met the same evening through another Thai woman? To play chess?

The rape allegation is most likely due to the insulting amount she was given. Tantamount to just throwing the money on the floor. Coconut Grove women ask for more than that. If they had given 3,000 per person, this would not be in the news. Anyone who wants to believe otherwise is welcome to make bids for the Eiffel Tower that I've recently acquired.

Some seriously naive people wondering around the forums.

If you disagree, then why do you think that she isn't insisting that they are thrown in jail and no compensation will be accepted for any other outcome?

If this will turn out to be true, those Chinese men's lives aren't worth a cracker.

it sounds bad, but at the same time its unlikely a non sex worker would tag along in the evening with a stranger
