Bit of extra info from the bbc:-

Sheff Utd are set to sue West Ham

Sheffield United are to sue West Ham for the cost of their relegation from the Premier League.

The Blades were relegated after the Premier League opted not to dock West Ham points for fielding an ineligible player in Carlos Tevez.

Sheffield United have estimated the cost of their relegation at between £30m-£50m.

The Blades claim West Ham gained an unfair advantage by signing an illicit player in Tevez.

Hope you are watching the news Happy Hammer...........remember I said you can't ban recourse to the law and it wasn't the end of it? The saga will run and run and run.

To be honest I don't remember. There's been reams written on this , here and elsewhere. Ad nauseam

But of course the snivelling little c**t could always go to law. It wouldn't get them anywhere though, except for lawyers fees or the suchlike.

But it's not there is it ?

As I understand it the deranged moron is seeking a new arbitration procedure through the FA.

If I was a Blades supporter I'd be truly embarrassed. :o

They should be concentrating on beating Scunthorpe. :D

When I have problems getting to sleep, I now alwys decide to read about Sheffield United and their ongoing complaints.

Okay, I think WHU were lucky to get away without a points deduction, but Sheffield should have got more points in the bag in the first place,

The fact that they lost to a Wigan team on the last game of the season who had not won for eleven games says a lot. They were not good enough.

I agree with this. I'm not sure Wigan would have behaved any differently though.

The whole thing is getting sillier with each new action. Hopefully, the FA will tell them that if they lose, they will have points deducted and have to pay the same amount the are suing us for, just to make them think hard about whether this is justified or just a vexatious litigation.

All I can say on this is

Blood and sand

Its all about money

Not football

Should really be moved to the business forum,,,,but it has nothing to do with Thailand either

If this hadn't gone on for so long it would be funny but I'm sick and tired of this loon (Mcbabe) wasting everybody's time and blowing money on lawyers fees which would be better spent on a couple of players to get Sheff Utd back up. If West Ham were in a similar position I would be truely embarrassed if our chairman behaved like McCabe. What is the next step when this fails? Will he sue Liverpool for putting out a weakened side against Fulham , Man Utd for not winning at Home against WHU, Tevez for being too ugly to play in the premier league? He might have a better case against Jagielka for the unexplained handball in the area or Worncock for not motivating his team enough against Wigan and Villa :o

Must be kicking themselves for neglecting to demand a 'gentleman's agreement' to prevent Unsworth playing against them... Forgot he took pens...

:o:D

He's also probably thinking about a possible case against Unsworth for playing too well against them, due to his association with us (West Ham). As for the penalty I wish he could have scored a few for us, like that one, when he was centre forward under Roeder. :D

You've lost me here. :o

That was Pearce.. They did play together in the England youth team in Australia in 1993 for the youth world cup, so they're easy to mix up.. I spent those games jeering Barmby.

Why can't Sheff Utd just let it go? The fact is Sheff Utd only got 38 points from 38 games. They beat West Ham home and away and we didn't hear any complaining then about unfair advantages.

If they want to get back in the Premiership then it's up to them to go and win promotion from the Championship this season.

Also they can't be doing that bad financially as they just bought Beattie for 4 million which is a lot of money for a Championship team to spend.

For thr record,Mr Dog, Sheff U lost against West Ham at Upton Park in the first game of last season ,,,but gave them a jolly good thrashing at Sheffield in the second.

As mr Keddy pointed out,,there were some games towards the end of last season,,,particularly the really sad performance put up against Aston Villa(Sunday morning village side kind of thing),that let the Blades down.

And Mr Keddy has hit the nail on the head,,,,What the <deleted> was Jags thinking of?

Now gone to Everton for 4 Million quid,,,,so I guess that paid for James Beattie.

I thought all this was water under the bridge,,,however the business side of the club "just wont let it lie" :o

They had a good goal disallowed at our place that would have made it 1-1..

Made all the difference in the end.

Who cares, they are still playing in the championship. The only people who are interestesd now are the lawyers, who can see an opportunity to make money out of this.

Yes you are right. West Ham did beat Sheff Utd 1-0 at home. But I'm pretty sure it wasn't the first game of last season. If memory serves me right, The Blades first game was a 1-1 draw against Liverpool. :o

West Ham's first game of last season was 3 -1 to us against Charlton.

Who are West Ham and why is this connected to a football forum?

West Ham United FC are a football team that are amongst the big boys league that Sunderland have joined for maybe a season.

Like any true supporter, you should have this seasons fixtures for your team sewn to your eyelids. But Sundeland also play West Ham on October 13th and March 29th respectively. So after those games results you may well also be in denial too. :o

its gone to law. the FA have FA to do with it now and wasn't making the rules up as they went along what brought about this mess in the beginning, leave it to the lawyers to sort out. Will make entertaining reading for a long time yet.

Well he terrorised the Birmingham defence in the second half. So that's a good start in my books.

But if you mean the penalty. By all accounts it was a clear-cut issue of being one.

No HH, I wasn't talking about the penalty. In fact I think Bellamy is a very good player, and could have probably done a lot better for himself if he put his brain in gear before he acted.

From what I was reading yesterday, he has already had a stand up row with Curbishley, so nothing changes there. I'm just wandering how many clubs he will actually play for by the end of his career.

Was someone troublemaking on a West Ham forum and a journo published it. Didn't actually happen.

Oh right, I see what you mean now.

But all that is either mischief making from somewhere inside, or more probably out the club. Was first picked-up as a rumour on a West Ham website - nothing like thorough journalism from the sensationalist gutter press who wish West Ham ill, i.e The Daily Mail.

All of which has subsequently been denied by Curbishley.

Don't believe everything that you read in the press. I think that you're astute enough to know that. :o
