Ha ha.  Reminds me of when I first joined the US Air Force.  I moved from Rhode Island all the way to Vandenberg Air Force Base on the California Central Coast, city of Lompoc.  I had very few things shipped as i was just out of college. One of the things I had shipped was a small basic simple outdoor charcoal grill.  Three legs, the bowl for the charcoal and the grill.   After they were delivered I got a phone call from some agricultural office down in Santa Barbara and he said he had to come up and inspect the grill because it had been outside in Rhode Island and he was checking for pests, gypsy moths or whatever.  I assured him the grill was clean and spotless as I had washed it before shipping and I was looking at it as we spoke.  Nope, buy made the over one hour drive up the coast, fondled the grill, then left.  Obviously getting a whole day out of the office.  It is ridiculous because I drove my car from Rhode Island and that had been outside for ten years!  One can only imagine how many eggs, and other stuff might be in that 1968 Torino

Your story started well. then started to go downhill and died in the a..ss.

Keep practising I always say.

Another moron with no intelligence. Great idea to draw attention to yourself when hiding out in Thailand for crimes committed in Germany. Did he really believe Thai’s are that stupid. Total mug.

Lawless island at the moment. There needs to be some outside look at the way the island is being adminstrated.

There's also that BBC article regarding illegal settlements.

I wonder how so many fugitives get out of their country and then gain entry into Thailand, and how they get on airplanes.  It would be interesting to know the details of the cases, did they have their home country passports confiscated by the courts, assuming they were ever in custody?  even if not in custody, surely the law enforcement agencies could get with their state departments and invalidate their passports?  Did they get false passports that were good enough to travel on one or more airlines?  Did they even go through Thai Immigration checkpoint at some crossing or entry point?

Dual passports.

It's a disgrace countries like the UK allow dual passports. Makes no sense at all.

Yes, unfortunately Thailand has become a safe heaven for criminals and fugitives from all over the world!

Ninsense.  You see the irony of that comment on a thread about the arrest of a foreign criminal for whom Thailand was not a safe haven?!

Thailand seems to be attracting all the classy people nowadays 🙄🙈

Well, I posted a while ago, but everybody laughed at me. Thailand is a heaven for criminals since retired. I watch many movies. Every movie involving criminals in Thailand is mentioned as a refugee country

Note to self: when hiding, don’t ride around on a motorbike loud enough to prompt complaints to the police.

As an aside, what on earth is happening on Koh Phangan? The last few days have seen headline after headline of crooks getting caught. Did the police there suddenly wake up?

Thai YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram are full of posts and videos of Thais complaining about the takeover of Koh Phangan. There have also been many videos from highly-followed foreigners in the last few months. There is pressure being applied and a spotlight on this in the social media space.
