Featured Replies

Yesterday I noticed that Lipton's Tea is back in Villa Market after several years.

Not sure if it was before, but it's made in Vietnam.

Taylors Yorkshire Tea

Doesn't taste like it used to, though.

Make from lower quality tea leaves and rebranding as a premium brand?

Lipton is horrid.

there is a recent thread about teabags here

Typhoo and Tata Gold good enough, Tetley bad for staining teeth

around 1-2 a day can't say I've noticed that issue.

Can't see Tata Gold in bags, are they available?

I don't think so, i buy loose tea and tea bags separately, bags are something like 15 baht for 100 bags on Lazada or Shopee, tea spoon and a half suits me

GB Tetley, if I can find it, failing that, Tetley from AUS but not the same, a bit "fortnightly" unless it's the Extra Strong.

Now using the Tata, extra strong, in a teapot, with a tea strainer, acceptable, and a lot cheaper.

Many years ago I switched from black tea to green tea and discovered an entire universe of super high quality green teas primarily from China and Taiwan, in addition to other forms of it like Oolong, Pu er, and much prefer it over black tea, which I tend to find pretty boring these days.

Also green tea seems to have a lot of wonderful health properties that black tea doesn't.

My preference is a cup of Yorkshire tea in the morning and a cup of Jasmine Green tea in the early evening, was using a diffuser for the green tea but now have found these tea bags and will buy again !

My stock of Yorkshire tea dried up so tried some Typhoo One Cup bags, terrible !, very weak but still better than Lipton’s 😃.

Currently using these:

and they ain’t bad.

Next will try this:

Don’t hold out much hope, words like environment friendly and biodegradable always sound like a compromise to me !!

” try our tea, tastes like <deleted>e but is plastic free !! “

Tata seems like the next option, if all else fails back to Yorkshire tea !

Messy though, I prefer buying the empty bags, 100 for 15 baht

When I used to live in NYC back in the day, hot women would often ask me if I was gay. I would respond by saying no, but thanks alot for the compliment.

That is how real men roll. Thin skin is the most telltale sign of a wimp, a man lacking in real self esteem, and a man possessed with self loathing.

How do you seal them?

Drawstring on each bag ......... seems to work.

I don't drink coffee at all. I drink tea. 3-4 liters of black tea a day. (No, the caffeine doesn't bother me. I drink tea at night, too.)

I was a Fortnum & Mason 'Royal Blend' fan until it got too expensive to ship, then switched to 'Yorkshire' tea as my favorite. I order a lot of tea from McNulty's Tea and Coffee in NYC, as they carry some wonderful blends. Their Chinese Keemun tea is fantastic, and the Extra-Smokey Lapsang Souchong tea is perfect on cool rainy mornings like today!

Then I found an Australian purveyor called 'Madura.' The 'English Breakfast' and the 'Premium Blend' tea from Madura are some of the best-tasting teas I've ever enjoyed. Rimping sells their full line, but I only buy their English Breakfast, Premium Blend, and Assam. A lot cheaper than shipping tea in on my own, and some of the best to date! I'm drinking Madura's 'English Breakfast' tea as I type this!
