After that, what is the problem if some chose to live in small villages or towns? Maybe you like to have a bustling life with something to do and people around you all the time. That means we can get our peace, quiet and silence, or live with family and friends when we wish. Some days, we can also take a drive to a bigger city and also enjoy that life. Might be just a day trip or a week holiday.

I guess you must live a fairly isolated life with no girlfriend or wife, probably no children and now seeking attention from everybody. Most likely running in the bar scene, catching a friend for the night. Instead, we chose to have both sides of life, live it to the full extent and enjoy everything from a quiet country life in a village or a small city, with only 60-100 km to go, when we want to go out and have fun. On the other hand, most small cities have lots of Thai style bars and restaurant and a few foreigners that set up something in between.

But, you probably just started another topic, to feel good about yourself, showing your ignorance, and the envy you have of people who actually made a stable life in Thailand.

There are some expats who built a house for the wife in rural areas where she stay and the expat prefer to stay in fex Pattaya and the wife come visit a couple of weekends every month.Good deal if they agree on that.

I lived in a Nakhon for about 5 years, no problem at all, got friendly with one of the farang social crews and I am still in touch with them.

I parted with the lady and moved on. Covid caused a lot of damage to the town sadly.

But they or I am not isolating ourselves, mums apron strings are not in the picture any more, we do what we want, not need those from our previous lives to hang on too, it would seem you need something to hang on too, but unfortunately, you have to put up with the World's tourists to do what you still need.............🤫
