Is China the source of Bangkok's bad air?

Featured Replies

This is from yesterday on the IQAir app. Look how China in the upper right has terrible air quality and then, following the winds, there is a stream of yellow moderately-bad air all the way to Bangkok.

Not only China, but all the illegal Chinese businesses in Thailand.

And with toxic water pollution - just look at all the illegal China-owned rare earth mines in Laos and Myanmar, spewing out toxic water waste into rivers that flow into Thailand.

When I'm standing on the corner, Asok & Suk, sucking down diesel exhaust, I'm not sure how I can blame that on any thing other than TH.  Surely not China's fault, fault that all the black smoke is coming out of all the vehicles passing my on the highways.

Or when I'm walking the dog at the park, and there's smoke in the air, from municipal workers burning stuff.   Same at PWA when the burn pit is in full use.

China's not forcing me to burn our wee bit of trash, once or twice a month, or my neighbors, weekly burns, overnight.  I get to enjoy if I wait too long to walk the dog at night.   Try not to, as prefer to avoid the snakes at night.

Of course it is. Russia too.  Well, according to some members.
