Remember she was later arrested for helping the foreign national escape through the back door of

Did he get his due process?

Due process of undocumented / illegal aliens in the USA, usually starts and ends, with simply being notified of the charges, then bye bye.

Once charged or served, then it's their choice, while in mandatory detention, to fight the charge, at their own expense, or simply get deported.

At a guess, I'd say most chose simply to be deported.   So much so, that many knowing their fate if arrested, self deported themselves before being charged, or having previous charges enforced.  Or so I've heard & read.

He was a bad Hombre . look at his history of violence in the op link. The story just says he got into a fight and downplays the serious attack he levied on his roomate. I remember reading the victim ended up going to the hospital. The story also looks for sympathy because of his new economic status, "probably have to go back fishing again".

"The foreign national , 31, had spent about seven months in jail since he was arrested outside the Milwaukee County Courthouse. He pleaded guilty in September to illegally reentering the country after he reached a deal with prosecutors to not fight deportation. Prosecutors in exchange agreed to recommend a time-served sentence".

Pity they cannot deport all the woke Judges like her - at the least they should be charged and disbarred.
