Can I pick up my marriage visa extension a day late?

Featured Replies

My Marriage visa extension will be ready on Dec. 2, as was stamped in my passport.  If I am one or two days late would I be subject to some type of penalty or fine? The visa has already been processed and completed. It's not like it would be an overstay.

Just a side note.

My marriage visa extension renewal I was due to pick-up my stamp today 20th Nov states saying still pending.

I applied on 8th October 44 days ago and still pending, also my 90 day's online check was rejected also, that's the first time in around 3 years I had a rejection notes.

That's ridiculous. Such a big negative this under consideration period.

Makes travel etc difficult.

I personally think they lost my application, also my 90 online check was rejected that never happened.

Are they planning to revoke my extension application and kick me out ?.

I always apply around 45 days before my renewal date to give them plenty of time to process my application

What date is on your 'under consideration' stamp?

I also usually apply 45 days in advance, but the 30 day UC stamp is always dated 30 days from the end of the current permission of stay.

I often go two or three days after the due date to get the stamp and never had an issue.

45 days early. Sounds you deal with CW.

You will be fine. You don't need to give them time.

Once the application is made you will not go into overstay.

Chill.

The 30 day under consideration period is usually from the date your current extension expires, until that date you have already been granted POS.

So Pathum Thai don't date the under consideration stamp 30 days from the date your current POS expires, and it appears not 30 days from the date you submit the application either.

Yes from the application date, Pathum Thani do except applications 45 days before the visa extension expires as the documents had to be send off to CW for approval

According to the stamp, you applied Oct 8th, some 43 days before your current extension expired, (Nov 20th) yet they have given that same date to return.
In that case, return today as advised, and they should give you a further stamp if it's not yet approved.

As @DrJack54 correctly advised, whilst an application is under review you cannot be on overstay.

Pathum Thani have a LINE app you are given a 6 digit reference number at the time of application.

Then you input your reference number in the LINE app then the app tells you if your application have been approved or still pending.

My extension is due 10th July.

I applied 10th June (my IO also accept applications 45 days in advance), the difference being my 30 day under consideration stamp is dated from the end of my POS.

10th July to 9th August.

When approved, the new extension stamp is backdated to the date the previous extension expired.

Regardless, I've given my advice to return on the date as advised for a further 30 day under consideration stamp, but you cannot be on overstay when an application is pending approval.
The extension, when issued, will be backdated to Nov 20th, when your current POS expires.

@Crossy deals with PT, maybe he could advise.
