No checks at LHR

Featured Replies

Just flew in from LHR with Eva air with a non o visa one way ticket

The system in uk is now fully automated so no one in uk checked my visa or asked why I had a one way ticket .Everything is done by machine now no physical checking of tickets or passports

Interesting ?

I also flew in from LHR on Eva last year on a one way ticket.  I also wasn't asked anything at check-in (with a real person).  I guess if they have any cause someone will pop up at the gate, I have read tales of that happening and people scrabbling to book flights just before boarding.

But they checked your shoes and fluids in carry on and maybe gave you a full body MRI scan

at LHR..but certainly an X ray  to add to the dose from 12 hours at high altitude 😛

Did you not have a re-entry permit?

Presumably still manual checks for those needing wheelchair assistance to board flights, as was my experience at T2 LHR a couple of years ago?

No.  I had a non-O e-visa but didn't show it nor asked any questions at all.
