what to do now? I want to come on visa exempt for few months

Featured Replies

Last time i stayed in thailand but it was 2 years ago and for 5 months.

So I want to repeat the process.

Will I be denied?

Is onward ticket now targeted?

I want to stay 5 months   so 60+30+60 days

Or should I prepare to go to the Philippines after 90 days?

I don't know aboutthe  METV visa, which I used to always use years ago but now they want bank statements.

I don't have 2000 USD in my bank account because of investments...

Can I put the statements for  last 3 months from my Thai bank? But I am not even sure If have 2000 usd there? I will add funds when I arrive to my thai bank.

So I would do METV but I dont think i can add bank statements.

What should I do? I dont want to be stuck at the airport and denied my entry?

You have options.

One simple example would be visa exempt entry + extension.

Then exit Thailand and obtain SETV eVisa.

Wait for approval (should be 3-5 days)

You should be able to obtain 30 extension from the eVisa entry.

You do not have 2000 usd in your bank, and you want to go on holiday for 5 months?

I guess you know the answer and gamble on visa exemption do a border run and try to come back in again. Or you make sure you have bank statements and apply for METV

The thing is, they want to see proof when you apply for METV visa, same as anyone applying for visa any other country, they want to see if you fill the criteria for longer stay. You just complicate things for yourself.

Gamble on visa exemption or get a METV, or go to another country who welcome you with new visa exemption on arrival. If you have a gf or wife, here, just do whats needed to secure you stay.

SETV is a single entry tourist visa.

You complain about opportunity cost of the 800k. Fine don't obtain Non O + annual extensions that allow you to

come and go as you please with a reentry permit.

You complain about cost of agents.

Go live in Vietnam you can have a 3 month multi entry tv for $80 usd.

That's $320/year. No financial.

No flight details etc etc.

Or post on Aseannow how there are no options without visa exempt entries.

I posted simple option in first post.
