Scandinavian Study Shreds COVID Vaccine-Myositis Link

Featured Replies

This rate [of  myositis] was not significantly different from that seen among unvaccinated people during the same timeframe, and this was true for both the mRNA and adenoviral vector vaccines used in these countries.

MedPage Today article linking to a study that does not find evidence of a causal link between COVID vaccination and myositis.

Nice case of a 'cherry picked' study.

Note that myositis wasn't even included in Pfizer's official post-marketing list of almost 1300 adverse effects observed after its mRNA-jabs roll-out.

The most recognized inflammatory adverse events from Pfizer’s vaccine are myocarditis and pericarditis (inflammation of heart muscle or its lining).

When they need some research-study funds to be burned resulting in an almost certain 'no link' outcome, I can suggest some other studies that have not yet been conducted, like the link between prevalence of ingrown toe-nails and covid-jab uptake.

But, every daft thing you post is "cherry picked"..........:clap2:

13 million people

From the previous linked study

Methods

We conducted a population-based cohort study in Norway and Sweden of 13 million persons who turned 12 years or older in 2021 and were residents at start of follow-up on December 27, 2020. Persons were followed until incident diagnosis of myositis, censoring, or end of study (May 21, 2023). We used Poisson regression to estimate incidence rate ratios (IRRs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs), comparing rates in risk periods (day 0 up to and including day 180 after each dose) with unvaccinated periods. Corrections for potential confounding were made by adjusting for sex, age, occupation (healthcare worker), region, positive covid-19 test, and comorbidities.
