For Soi 6 increase of prices definately the NightWish is responsible. I avoid them like the plague. They are aware of their bad reputation and try to hide the fact that they own any particular bar.

Callum, it's very cold in Thailand, I had to buy a fan. She's only 45kg, feels the cold, too cold for her with air conditioners on.

Normal procedure is inviting a lady to ur table.Ask what she wants to drink.If things go well pay the barfine and go to my hotel.Sometimes go dining first before going to my hotel.I allways let the lady stay over the night.Next morning eating breakfast together and back to my room and sit and talk.Pay and of course give extra for taxi.

Makes sense that they would try to milk the tourists as much as possible since tourists don't watch their wallets since they're only there a couple of weeks and they have no time to compare how things work in other bars, so they don't know the difference.

There are regular bars in Pattaya that don't enforce this kind of policy but they are the bars who employ the old ducks, middle aged, a little overweight, been around the block several times, lots of mileage

A former Soi 6 worker from my hedonistic youth is now the wrong side of forty (and two kids), with a firm pair of bolt-ons, works in some lady-drink clip-joint in Patong. She seldom gets bar fined  and, as far as I can tell, there's a "drinks minimum" applied to punters that want to. She's usually drunk by closing time, and nursing hangovers on the beach with her friends the next day. It's some sort of retirement plan with built-in cirrhosis.

Yeah, it's sad that they have to endure health problems to work in bars.

But no one is forcing them to drink alcohol.

Or maybe they NEED the alcohol to "cope" with the job?
