Best home air filter?

Featured Replies

I live in Jomtien, adjacent to Pattaya. It seems the air pollution season is early this year :-(((

I live in a studio apartment. Can anyone recommend a home air filter that could improve my indoor air quality?

Please advise where I should order it: Lazada, Home Pro, etc.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Not early.  Triple digit days usually start end of Nov early Dec and get more frequent into Jan-Mar.  Pretty much coinciding with dry season.

People have short term memories about this stuff for some reason.  As soon as it clears up nobody will be talking about it anymore. After a few clear days in a row it will be totally forgotten until the next smog alert.

@shdmn Thanks for your comment, but I'm looking for advice on a home air filter--not a general discussion of air pollution.

Xiaomi makes a nice basic one with an air quality monitor built in…

The filters are easily replaced and cheaply available…

You can see them and buy them at the Mi store in the Central or Terminal 21 mall…

Also on Lazada…

The air filters are called air purifyer. Homepro has a selection of different brands. They might be cheaper at Lazada. I bought 4 different Xiaomi models available at Lazada, Shopee and Xiaomi (Mi) shops. If ordering online I suggest to order from the original Xiaomi company within Lazada or Shopee mall.

On caveat to my Xaiomi suggestion...

To really take advantage of the Xaiomi you need to use their phone app... This allows you to set the fan speed to and settings... without using the app right out of the box you only have three modes (which i would never use) of fan speed...

I use the app and set them to rum at 50% speed continuously...

I'm fine with using a phone app.

How often do you change the filter? Does it tell you when it needs to be changed? Can you order the filters on Lazada?

I ignore (reset) the filter expired warning 😉

I have a small Xiaomi unit.  The last filter was changed after 18 months, depends on how often you use it.  Yes it does tell you when to change it.  I bought the replacement on Lazada, 3rd party half the price of original Xiaomi.

I ordered this unit from Lazada. The instructions are entirely in Chinese. I can't make head or tail of it.  Was this your experience? Is there a YouTube video that explains how this works?

Load the Xiaomi Home app onto your phone… Set language to English and then pair the unit to the app…
