Featured Replies

Hi, are there any good 2nd hand bookstores in Chiang Mai? Also, looking to trade in some books/sets for store credit if that's a thing.

@SABloke

There was a time, and not so long ago when you were spoiled for choice in good used book shops.

Backstreet Books,Gekko Books, both on Chang Moi Kao, and several more around town. Now very few. Maybe The Lost Book Shop is still there on Rachamanka.

Sure, that works for many - maybe most - people nowadays.

However there are some, myself included who still love books.

Indeed. My kids love reading BOOKS, although they also use ebooks since the read so fast 🤣 Now our library is just too full so hoping to trade in some books and collections and get a few new books to read while on holiday.

On the Road Books on Ratvithi Road (not far from the UN Irish Pub) is still going strong.

That's assuming all of the books you want are available, which in a lot of cases they aren't.

Shaman books  - 50 meters south of Thapae square on  Kotchasarn RD, first alley/soi past McDonalds.
