unlikely to be anything major. Just  a  few skirmishes to stop the troops getting too bored.

Artillery fire takes it a bit more beyond previous "skirmish".

General advisement is for evacuation again as far south as Buriram so far.

Could hear artillery fire form 7am to 7.30 here in Prakhonchai, some  50kms away

Apparently the roads in the Prakhonchai area are somewhat congested with  locals escaping from the border area

We are also prepared to bolt if a new advisory confirms the need. 

Can hear ongoing shelling or bombing now at 8.30 am but  not as continuous as earlier.

Clashes erupt along Thai-Cambodian border — RT World News

 

The Royal Thai Army said clashes first erupted on Sunday and accused Cambodian troops of opening fire at Thai soldiers in eastern Ubon Ratchathani province. One Thai soldier was killed and four others were wounded, after which additional Thai soldiers were attacked with artillery and drones at Anupong Base, the army said.

 

Royal Thai Air Force spokesman Air Marshal Jackkrit Thammavichai announced later on Monday that F-16 fighter jets were deployed to “reduce Cambodia’s military capabilities to the minimum level necessary to safeguard national security and protect civilians.”

Give way to lethal attack ? There is supposed to be ceasefire that Cambodia undeniably has been breaching in small and now big antagonistic fashion then making false claims.

i dont know the details about this border dispute, but the fact that cambodia is so much weaker makes it improbable that they are out for a land grab,

thus thailand is the main suspect for being unreasonable

Whole lot more complicated than the argument over old Hindu temple sites as the basis for border disputes.

To many it's like a "given an inch so come take a mile" by Cambodia. The argument even extends into maritime areas and and.

And so it continues this morning with what sounds like systematic barrages. Time to join the Exodus as local information is that shells have landed as close as 5 kms from our house.
