😆..........I should be so lucky..................😆

But, I do know a bloke here that has had to pay it back, now. I am sorting some paperwork out for his widow......😱

A story for the future..............😉

If he's dead, he ain't paying anything!

Anyways, my last transfer, I paid 7gbp per thousand transfer fee and got 44.6bht to the pound.

You got 42 per thousand with no fees, 2.6bhtx 1000 =2600bht -7pounds (312bht) .......

I got 2300bht more per thousand than you did.

And if I'd changed at the same time as your last transfer WISE 42.63 v direct 42.03 per thousand = 600 bht extra - 312bht fee = 288bht more than you.

Of course, he didn't pay anything back, but when he was told what was going to happen, he died shortly after...........😬

OP do what you think best for yourself and your circumstances. I have had my military pension paid into Bangkok Bank for 19 years and my state pension for 3 years. Never had any issues ever.  There may be variations in exchange rates, but so what.  I live here in Thailand , not UK and my money is in a local Bank, 15 mins drive away and always available.

No poncing about on PC's/phones and transfers,  and reading countless posts on here "what happened to my transfer?, I sent it 30 seconds ago"

I’m not sure why you’d change it if it’s been working for you. Wise provides both a good exchange rate and the flexibility to transfer as much or as little as and when you like, rather than when HMRC decides.

I have been locked out of my UK bank because they went back on their word to send me the small token to allow me access to my bank account. That was about 4 months ago.
